I think the edge goes to Trump, but not a great debate.
Biggest loser: Chris Wallace and by extension, Fox News. I watched the debate on C-Span.

In the fantasy world echo chamber between Wallace and Biden, Trump was the one breaking the fourth wall. It was an unfair fight before it started but Trump showed up anyway. He fought back. He broke rules. He did great.

Ah, but we can show clips of him saying that and laugh at AOC and Bernie who will then go make Joe backtrack.

Wallace was just being himself...

And for that he should be ashamed. In some situations it is necessary to act and behave at a higher level. Wallace can't do that, or is so biased and petty that he wouldn't do his job correctly.

Trump is not good at this stuff. Wallace played him like a fiddle. Wallace also helped Biden. Overall I think Biden won tonight.

I disagree. The reason I like President Trump is because he fights for us. Let that sink in. He fights for us. Whether he is good at debating or not is besides the point. The point is that he fights back.

Wallace did what Wallace will do, he is a shill for the Democrats. He will attack Trump, ask him a question but will try to shut Trump down and not allow Trump to respond. Trump did what Trump will do, fight back and try get his answer out despite Wallace.

Wallace did indeed Biden, everyone saw that coming. That can't be changed, that's the way the debates are structured, the moderators always help the Democrats and disadvantage the Republicans. Trump was fighting two men tonight.

I say it's a draw, and Biden did not win the debate. Trump was able to get a lot of information out that hurts Biden, information that may be news to liberals who never heard it before. People who supported Trump will still support Trump. Undecided voters and Biden supporters may switch to supporting Trump.

“Biden’s debate prep consisted of repeating the same anti-Trump lies and cheap shots we’ve been hearing for the past year.”

Well — Biden actually prepared for the debate like Presidential candidates usually do and acted like the front runner. Trump did not act like the front runner.

I had the captions on, and noticed that right away.

President Trump was triple-teamed, by Wall-@$$, the sound guys, and Hidin’ Biden

Biden did better than his detracters hoped he would do and it even surprised Trump and the audience. Because of that , the impression is that Biden won the debate. Tomorrow’s stock market will give a better indication of the people’s opinion. Trump had better not underestimate”sleepy” Joe.

I just wrote similar on another thread. Overall, I don’t think the President did as well as he could have and certainly missed on too many rebuttals,

He wasn't allowed any rebuttals...That's why he kept interrupting...

Twitter does have it uses. Wallace looks like Mini Mike behind that podium.

Since Trump was debating two instead of one, I would recommend giving Trump a higher score. Have you ever been in a fight two against one?

What people do not understand is that when it is 2 against 1, best turn it into an all out brawl.

Didn't like the moderator taking Trump to task on why he doesn't support leftist agenda on GW and subversive race indoctrination funded by the government, Didn't ask Biden why he doesn't oppose those.

Exactly. Was like two kindergartners arguing over who took the cookies. I think the average person didn’t change their vote, they simply changed their decision to ever watch one of these worthless debates again. Trying to be objective as possible, they both came off as asses. Wallace seemed like an unserious joke of a journalist.

I really hope people see Wallace helping Biden out and Biden not giving answers to some pretty straightforward questions.

Trump can still learn from the Great Communicator, Ronald Reagan. Reagan was wise, and he knew the impact of patience...of timing.

It's not too late.

DJT won on the substance, but the weasel Biden beat him on the optics. Optics, sadly, are what wins elections these days. You and I, dear FRiends can see through the fluff, but low info voters will go on instinct, derived from demeanor from a debate.

I believe very strongly that DJT can win the next (and final) debate, but only (ONLY) if he does not allow himself to be goaded into a spat.

Timing.

Timing.

.

.

...Timing

1. Trump survived a witch hunt.

2. He survived impeachment.

3. Riots with enabling Democrats.

4. The covid shutdown.

5. A slanderous media.

7. A plan for one party rule.

8. Voter fraud.

Trump is only human. Of course he was angry. Probably more angry than he realised. He’s not some unplugged lawyer who looks at this as a game.

Some of us were looking for a knock out blow. Maybe that was an unrealistic expectation.

My concern is that President Trump being President Trump At the debates surely won’t change my vote, but does it pull in the votes we need (plus a margin for dems stuffing the ballot box) to win. Congratulating within an echo chamber is like trusting polls - doesn’t get the job done.

Joe is weak and incompetent. many of the thingsSaid here by supporter yet critical of the President tonight are true and I personally think he could have KO’d him In Each round just on his record. Joe had nothing but what if’s, lies and unicorn farts.

A prepared Trump would have ate him for lunch even with crappy one sided moderation.

Personal opinion.
