The Trump campaign said Democrat Joseph R. Biden refused their request to have a third party inspect his ears for electronic devices prior to Tuesday night’s first presidential debate.
“Joe Biden’s handlers several days ago agreed to a pre-debate inspection for electronic earpieces but today abruptly reversed themselves and declined,” said Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh.
He also said Mr. Biden’s handlers asked for “multiple breaks during the debate, which Mr. Trump doesn’t need.

I wouldn’t make a lot out of this. More likely the writer started to refer to him as “former Vice-President” then decided on “Democratic nominee” and just neglected to delete the word “former.” Been there and done that sort of thing too many times to not see it as a strong possibility.

Trump should have his guys look into a frequency scrambler. I know there are ones for cell phones somI am sure there is one that would work.
DJT should call Biden out at the very first opportunity: “Joe, you agreed weeks ago not to wear an earpiece because this debate is supposed to be between me and you and not me and your off-stage advisors. Earlier today, you reneged on that promise, and the American people need to know that. Until proven otherwise, we assume that you are wearing an earpiece through which your advisors are feeding you talking points. From this point forward, your new name is “Cheating Joe.”
Back when this was an issue with Hillary, I did some extensive research. Apparently, just looking inside the ear won’t always work because, according to my reading, it is possible to have a bug not only inside the ear but surgically placed behind tissues and out of sight. Wish I had saved the research. However, if the technology exists, the Trump campaign is surely aware of it.
I have a better idea, hack the feed and have some fun.

Oral steroids can make yo feel like a champ for a short period of time but the crash is hard.

The camera has caught Biden on numerous occasions with hand to ear, long pauses as he listens to internal info, and actual wire descending down his neck.
Check out this 12 sec video of Joe with a very thin wire just visible behind his left ear.
Biden and crew have practiced so long and performed in front of so many venues that Joe has become totally dependent on the voices in his ear.
This devatating situation is the only rational reason for the Biden camp to come out today with their refusal of an ear exam--after committing to it to the Debate Committee during earlier negotiations.

No doubt, use of a wire is a gamble for the Dems. But, because Joe Biden has become totally addicted to those voices in his head, the use of a wire is now mandated.
