Well, that wasn’t cheating. That was legal and the GOP didn’t get on the field.

I don’t think it is optimism - I think it is absence of pessimism.

The polls are always extremely and deliberately pessimistic regarding Republican prospects. Larry looks at registrations and other indicators and discounts the pessimistic polls - as he should.

Of course, that doesn’t always work, because the polls can get it right by chance, just as a broken clock is right twice a day.

But that does NOT mean Larry is wrong to remove their pessimism from his forecasts.

Did you read that NY post article in which a NJ election fixer described taking harvested absentee ballots home, steaming open their envelopes and then replacing the real ballots with fake ones? It could be done since the voter certifications were not on the ballots themselves.

All ballot harvesting is suspect, IMO. North Carolina was right to trounce that idiot (GOP) who did it in NC-9. It may be legal in Kookiefornia, but it’s wrong, period.

The other variable that is difficult to gauge is the role of fraud.

If you just consider the time it takes to do this, the likelihood that STILL he screws up on many and they aren’t all accepted, it’s still a pretty tiny number you’re able to affect.

This is why it’s far more efficient and profitable NOT to engage in fraud and, instead, to go get the damn voters.
