Churchill Downs would be a great BLM target and I know it is not in nice part of town. Made of a lot of wood too.
I’m a dispatcher for taxi fleets across the US. Louisville is one of my cities.
Our restricted area, until further notice, is as follows:
The westernmost boundary is interstate 264, which goes north and south in Louisville. The southern boundary is Broadway. The eastern boundary is I-65, the northern boundary is the Ohio River. Jefferson Square is where most of the action is, and it’s smack dab in the middle of that map, on S.6th street, south of the river by a few blocks.
Hope that helps.
I believe they try to stage a protest at Churchill Downs with fists in the air but they were deterred by an armed contingency.
Churchill Downs is not near downtown. It is located in an area with convention and fairgrounds complexes.
If you’re thinking horses in Kentucky, next spring you would have a much better experience at Keeneland which is in Lexington. They have racing in April.

You going horse racing?
Curious if this affects the Urban Bourbon Trail area in Louisville. Was there last September and had a great time visiting the downtown distilleries and restaurants. Wanted to go back again this fall but thinking of Lexington/Frankfort bourbon trail areas instead.
Hope they are protecting the Louisville Slugger museum/factory in Louisville...it is such a fun stop if you’re visiting Louisville.
