I think there will be.
It is way too late for Biden to call it off without losing a lot of face.
In fact calling it off is the only sure fire way to lose. The book-licking media will say he won if he just shows up. If he drools on himself, they will cover for that.
I actually think the most effective line is for Donald to simply look over at Joe at the start of the debate and say Joe I look forward to debating you on the issues and find out for the American people why did you spy on me? Then mention Hunters payments from the Russians wife
Yep, I thought this might happen. He will, at some point, puff out his little chest and stomp over to POTUS all outraged and stuff and yell at him. I’m guessing that Trump knows this too and will just look down at him like a bug.

There is not evidence within the USA to produce an indictment. The actual evidence is all out of the country. The crimes were comitted out of the country

How can anyone not watch that Ryan debate and not come to the same conclusion that I have -- Biden will first come unglued, Trump will egg him on, Biden will attempt to counter, Trump will then do his "if you had an ounce of courage, you would have stopped Benghazi and ordered an immediate response"; and I am telling you all again, Biden is going to physically confront President Trump to end this debate and any further debates.
In fact, I'm completely convinced that "Fat Jo" O'Malley-Dillon already has a contingency plan and talking points for this. "It shows Vice-President Biden is a tough man, willing to hold his ground for what he stands for", except Biden will cross into Trump's personal space to accomplish the confrontation.
How the rest of you all don't see the obvious is beyond me.
Trump really needs to go after Biden by pointing out he won’t be the one in charge, but will be a tool of the radicals.

Well, I agree on the general outcome: Biden embarrasses himself - President Trump comes out smelling like roses.
Exactly HOW he embarrasses himself, I wouldn’t wager - there are too many possibilities.
He might lose his temper and get physical as you say
But he is just as likely to drift off to la-la land and stand there in a trance.
Or totally forget where he is, take of his pants, calmly fold them and lay them across the podium - and start reminiscing about young children stroking his leg hair.
Or start calling the President Corn Pop, call Chris Wallace a lying dog-faced pony soldier.
Could see him having the Hillary Scooby Van disaster after the first hour, but i didnt buy Rush’s COVID-cant-debate scenario bc they could simply move on to the next one.
My scenario is actually Occam’s - Fat Jo fully aware that Joe is sundowning, that he is unstable, prone to anger, gaffe-riddled, and no energy reserves. Confrontation is the only way out.
Biden is a creaky bag of dusty bones...and even when he was young he was all talk.. he won’t physically confront anyone.
Certainly not a big guy like President Trump!
But I hope you are right - it would be entertaining to watch.

I will agree that statement is true - but it would be true of any strong incumbent, and any pathetic challenger.
I do not agree that President Trump is a narcissist or egoist though.
As incumbent, President Trump is heavily favored to win re-election - therefore he has everything to lose in a debate gone awry. Biden has everything to gain.
A conservative strategy is always best in such a situation. President Trump should be on his best behavior and seem like a nice guy
