President Donald Trump is preparing to unleash vicious lines of attack in the first debate with Joe Biden, according to a new report, leaving some Democrats fearful that their nominee will be unprepared to counter.
The first of three presidential debates is scheduled to take place at 9pm ET in Cleveland, and promises to be a wild night of spirited arguments, and likely personal attacks.
While Biden has been in seclusion diligently preparing for the debate, Trump has largely eschewed traditional prep, instead pulling advisors aside on the fly to test out different lines of attack, according to a detailed report on Friday from the Washington Post.

Agreed. I don’t feel so sanguine about the debates. There are many ways an undisciplined Trump could lose to a demented old liar programmed with pithy one-liners about 200,000 COVID deaths. The audience is not the converted like those who read this board. It’s the mushy middle who are bothered by “mean tweets”. Further, the media serves as the referee in this game, and they have already written their analyses. Guess what they will say. The only way Trump wins is if Biden physically breaks down or decompensates (e.g., falls asleep, shouts obscenities, collapses) during the event.
If Biden says ONE WORD about 200,000 dead, Trump needs to go right back at him with the FACTS that the Biden administration left our national stockpiles of ventilators and PPE completely empty after H1N1 they did not have the decency for the American people to replace the stockpiles!! The Biden administration SHIPPED all of the manufacturing of our drugs AND PPE to China also making it harder to access what we needed at the time shove the facts right down the bastards throat!! He also needs to let the American people KNOW that we have NO IDEA of the actual deaths OR cases of H1N1 because the Biden administration stopped counting cases AND deaths from H1N1!! DONE!!
OH and I forgot WHERE THE HELL is the vaccine for H1N1, OH yeah there isn’t one after how many years???

I’m not predicting it but it would not surprise me if the Biden campaign came up with a reason to conduct the “debate” with Sleepy Joe participating remotely with him having his standard unseen access to his beloved teleprompter.
I am not a gambling man. Choking Joe does not even know what day it is. The dimwits cannot allow a debate.
You are right - Wallace will intervene immediately on behalf of Biden on any Trump statement that he finds “out of bounds” to the “rules you both agreed to abide by”.
Expect Biden to call Trump a liar multiple times on the stage, either without any details to substantiate the accusation or with made up “facts”. Wallace will not call out Biden.
Those of us who revel in Trump's bon mots and yearn for even more of them believing that they will stimulate the base must understand that Trump is no longer coming down the escalator who must somehow change the game. He is now president of the United States and can only lose by stepping outside of that role.
The country expects the president to be presidential. This is a debate to win the votes of independents and undecided voters. We conservatives will crawl over broken glass to save the country but the independents want to be made to feel good and secure.
Im telling you all again, Biden is going to physically confront Trump. It will turn the entire race upside down.
This is not the image you want the mushy undecided voters to see during the debates.
If Biden walks over to sniff Trump’s hair, it will be the Kamala-Hillary Estrogen Ticket the next morning.Do I think it likely? Of course not BUT that I even think it is telling!
