Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal have been accused of defending the Louisville police officers who killed Breonna Taylor and blaming the black EMT's boyfriend for opening fire first.
Barkley and O'Neal were discussing Taylor's death and the decision not to indict any officers in her killing during the TNT pregame show ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers vs Denver Nuggets game on Thursday.
Barkley argued that Taylor's death couldn't be compared to the police killing of black man George Floyd because Taylor's boyfriend Kenneth Walker first fired a shot at officers when they entered her apartment with a 'no knock' warrant.
'I don't think this one was like George Floyd or Ahmaud Arbery and things like that,' Barkley said.
'I feel sad that this young lady lost her life. I think the no-knock warrant is something we need to get rid of across the board. But we do have to take into account that her boyfriend shot at the cops and shot a cop.'
O'Neal agreed and argued the officers involved were simply 'doing their job' on a warrant signed by a judge.
He also said that he believed the system needed to change.
'You have to get a warrant signed and some states do allow no-knock warrants. Everyone was asking for murder charges,' he said. 'When you talk about murder, you have to show intent. A homicide occurred and we're sorry a homicide occurred.
'When you have a warrant signed by the judge, you are doing your job, and I would imagine that you would fire back.'
O'Neal last year became a deputy in the auxiliary department of Florida's Broward County Sheriff's Office but is not clear what his duties entail. He has previously been sworn in as reserve police officers at departments in California, Florida and Arizona and...

This SCUM attorney out there ratcheting the flames really pisses me off, Brianna was a drug dealer and this POS attorney KNOWS that, he also KNOWS the grand jury is secret so him SCREAMING to release the transcript is not possible and does nothing but fan the flames!!
Is there justice?
Justice. We don’t need no stinking justice.
There is a clear conflict in a state that is both a 'castle doctrine and a no knock warrant' state.
You cannot have both, and I'll take the castle doctrine over the no knock warrant state.
I don't know how any legal eagle can reconcile the no knock warrant with the 4th Amendment.
That gives the gummint too much power.
"While the department had received court approval for a no-knock entry, the orders were changed before the raid to knock and announce, meaning that the police had to identify themselves."
There are a handful of hard-core anti-police trolls who are retirement-bored and/or drinkers that have their heads jammed straight up their juxy.
Oh, it would have been inevitable. The irony here is that the major Aug. 20 NYT article was loaded with damning info that ripped the halo straight off St. Bre, before the GJ convened. *ahem*
"Court records show that Mr. Glover was convicted of selling cocaine and spent years in prison, starting in 2008 in his home state of Mississippi, where he was handed a 17-year sentence. In 2014, after moving to Kentucky, he was convicted of a second drug offense. He began dating Ms. Taylor in 2016, according to a statement he gave the police. That December, a favor he asked of her (Bre) renting a car and lending it to him ensnared her in a murder inquiry. A man was found slumped over the wheel, eight bullets riddling his body. Inside the car were three baggies of drugs and Ms. Taylors rental contract, court records show."
I've heard this also - has it been verified?
FTA: I think the no-knock warrant is something we need to get rid of across the board.
We also need to get rid of people who have a dead body in the trunk of their rental car. Oh right, we did : )
The two of you appear to be stand up guys, but you are taking the wrong approach.
You should be directing your attention to the Media, Hollywood and the Democrats for SPREADING FEAR AND LIES to the Black Community, TELL THEM THEY ARE STUPID for Believing the PRESS and the DEMOCRAT PARTY, and have been LIED to Repeatedly by everyone they look up to, to keep them scared and stupid and making them dependent on the Democrats to just live their lives.
After dropping out of the University of Kentucky, she found a job with the City of Louisville from Jan16 - Nov16, in training. She was an EMT from Jun16 - Nov16. Five months. Five. Freaking. Months.
She called in her resignation on Nov 16. Called it in.
Additionally, WAVE3 reported more embarassing details surrounding Saint Breonna's termination that were erased and memory-holed in 12 hours. Suffice it to say, she was booted from emergency service technician work with LouMetro EMS. Permanently.
Relatives said after Saint Breonna's firing as an EMT, she had worked 2 hospitals as as ER techician, pulling graveyard shifts.
However, Bianca Austin, Taylors aunt, said Walker had just accepted a job to work at UPS.
UPS? UPS pays max $12 hr to start for box slingers - they have exactly one nurse on staff, so St. B was be slinging boxes. ER techs with EMT cert should be making $18-$20 in Louisville hospitals and even more for overnight shifts.
Ah, well looking at the last post before mine, StAnDeliver has a link that shows she resigned from her EMT job, and her packet has a “Do not rehire” mark. The city, however, declines to say exactly why she has that, but from my experience usually that means one of two things: you either resigned just before the company fired you, or you had a boss you personally didn’t get along with.
