New York Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is urging Empire State lawmakers to raise taxes, despite opposition from Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
Ocasio-Cortez called on Cuomo and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio to increase rates as the state battles a massive coronavirus-induced multi-billion-dollar budget hole.
“I’m calling on Mayor de Blasio and Gov. Cuomo to raise revenue to fund universal child-care programs, significantly increase staffing at schools and fund the infrastructure improvements, including ventilation, that our school buildings need to be safe,” Ocasio-Cortez said in a statement obtained by The New York Post on Wednesday.

Very few people noticed this tiny bit detail which is critically important in how information is consumed: they call tax “revenue”
Why don’t they just take over all businesses in NY and redistribute 100% of the profits to the people. They should just get on with it, then fail and perhaps NY might be livable again in 75 years.
Does that mean AOC’s taxes will be raised..all the money she funneled to her boyfriend does that get deducted? How about De Blasio, the money that his wife “Lost” for mental health care, does the money being transferred to the cayman islands also get deducted
We already have “universal child care programs.” They are called public schools, and they are an abject failure.

She probably has that figured out. Members of Congress make $174,000 per year. So I’m guessing AOC will call for tax increases for anyone making over $200,000.
