Shawn Steffee, the business agent of Boilermakers Local Union 154, located in Pittsburgh, Pa., announced that Local 154 endorsed President Trump for re-election. Local 154 has about 1,500 members who work in the power plants and other similar plants. He said:
Joe Biden's ban on fracking would put me and everyone I know out of work. Crap trade deals. And now this. Gimme a break, we're not asking for much. But Joe Biden is a disaster.
Mr. Steffee spoke at the Pennsylvania CPAC event on September 19, 2020 in Washington, Pa.
He said the journeyman welders in his union are averaging over $100,000 per year. Business is booming thanks to President Trump, and his members are all working. They support President Trump because he supports the job-creating industries in coal, oil, and natural gas. These are the industries that the Democrats want to abolish in favor of wind and solar.

That looks tasty, is it too early?
It’s 5 o’clock somewhere
All great news and insights. Thanks.
My sister is a teacher in Baltimore and she is a VERY strong Trump supporter. Unfortunately, in Baltimore, she cannot tell anybody about her politics.
This is monumental! An AFL-CIO Union affiliate endorsing an ultra conservative presidential candidate is history making. Write down this day, it may never happen in your lifetime again. You can say you were there.

I remember a lot of unions endorsing Ronald Reagan in one of his elections.
“I remember a lot of unions endorsing Ronald Reagan in one of his elections.”
The president of the US union federation, the AFL-CIO, denounced Reagan. Funny thing is they did it because of Reagan’s attacks on PATCO. PATCO (The Professional Air Traffic Controllers Organization) did endorse Reagan but the big dog, the AFL-CIO, never did. PATCO refused to back Jimmie Carter.
And while this was happening, the AFL-CIO had their Solidarity Day September 1981 in D.C. to try to scare Reagan voters. It was an overwhelming demonstration of organized labor against Reagan. The estimate was a minimum of 236K. Unions didn’t like conservatives and had been championed for many year by the liberals.

Uh, I posted that. LOL!
“”This is HUGE. When do unions EVER endorse Republicans?””
You have to remember, Trump is not a Republican, he is an American!
Very good point!
Excellent news, particularly in this historically ultra blue collar area.
But those who are going over the moon about this news need to read a little closer. It’s one union LOCAL endorsing Trump, not the ENTIRE nationwide Boilermakers union.
