Order your seeds now and make sure they are the open pollinated type.

The hybrid ones won’t breed true if they even produce viable seed at all.

We use heirloom and keep the seeds year-to-year. Even the tomato seeds (not easy).

Thanks for the heads-up, though. We do keep our seeds in dated paper envelopes. Enough to plant our entire yard twice.

The only drawback is trying to stock enough canning lids/bands.
