I do like a Linda thread...

So is he really in trouble? I just don't see him losing in SC.. Maybe he will scrape it by a few % mainly thanks to Donald Trump rather than on his own merits.

My family just got back from a vacation in South Carolina. Mr. Harrison has a lot of advertising up, and he seems like a personable guy. On the other hand, Graham hasn’t been in his position all this time because he’s an easy target.

Sadly, Linda hasn't done a THING to deserve to keep his Senate seat EXCEPT that he is a REPUBLICAN!!

If we had a ton of seats, I would love to see him defeated!

He has learned NOTHING from the Kavanaugh hearings.....NOTHING!

Thanks for the report. It would be a huge upset but anything is possible I guess.

Politicians sometimes do get complacent and find themselves shocked, Shocked!!! by the voters’ picking someone else. On the other hand, sometimes a charismatic challenger gets a lot of good press, but the voters stay with the same-old same-old.

Hard to say. There was quite a bit of Trump material in sight in the Beaufort area, where we were staying. Columbia and Charleston are more Democrat, I think.

Most of the campaign signage we saw was for local races, with “Lowcountry Over Party” a repeated theme.

On the heels of a Quinnipiac University poll that has him tied with Graham among likely voters in South Carolina, Harrison’s campaign has marked two back-to-back fundraising days of $1 million apiece, bringing his total fundraising to over $30 million.

It’s a staggering sum, unheard of for a Democrat competing in this conservative state,

Beto O'Rourke O'Rourke raised an unheard of $80 million, mostly from Hollywood nutjobs and still lost to Ted Cruz, after outspending Ted Cruz by four to one.
All it took was one campaign stop from Trump.

President Trump will appear with Linda in his constituency. That will make the Dem money useless.

Lindsey needs to grow a set of brass balls. This is his moment to shine throughout history. Its a fork in the road Linda! Take it!

Nancy Mace is running in that district. She is solid. I hope she wins.

This is reminiscent of Texas 2018 Beto-Mania, with the Democrats & the entire media being all giddy over the chance for a minority (a fake minority, in the case of Texas) having a supposedly good chance to pick up a seat in what was once a solidly Republican state.

It didn’t happen in ‘18 in Texas, though the Rats’ consolation prize was picking up several House seats (and more to come this year too, probably).

There’s a good chance that Lindsey knows damn well he’s in deep trouble via his campaign’s internal polling, otherwise why come out now in support of Trump’s right to make a Supreme Court nomination? That’s certainly out of character for him, but represents a Hail Mary attempt to win back some of his lost support on the right, though why anyone on the right would vote for some bought-and-paid-for liberal Democrat doesn’t make sense to begin with.

The demographics in the Charleston area have gotten noticeably worse in a very short period of time, recently. The Republicans still wouldn’t have lost that seat in ‘18 if not for the spiteful backstabbing of the sore-loser squish (Sanford) who got ousted in the primary.

If that seat doesn’t flip back in 2020, it’ll likely be lost until the incumbent Rat leaves.

That seat (SC-1) will flip back. Nancy Mace is a good candidate. Look her up and consider supporting!

Except he strongly backed Kavanaugh in 2018 too, and that wasn't an election year. Graham doesn't need to be behind in the polls to back a Trump Supreme Court nomination. He backed the other two Trump nominations too.

I am in Spartanburg, and there is anecdotal evidence Lindsey is in trouble simply because he is actually having to mount a campaign. Add that the foreign manufacturers in SC (cheap labor express) seem to be against Graham due to association with Trump and changing voter demographics, Graham wins a squeaker. That said, Graham losing would not be a shocker.

The true decider here is not money, bloomberg proved this, its all about voting, real in person voting in mass.

Graham is the good guy...not perfect....but better than any Dem in his seat. I hope he stays for a long time.

People like yourself think every Senator is a one man show.

I live in Columbia SC. No one likes lindsey, but we hold our noses and vote for him because he is better than the alternative, and we need to keep the Senate majority. Enough South Carolinians like me exist to pull Linda across the victory line.

As I suspected..

At least you will (should) have Nancy Mace going to Congress.

She is going to be a star!
