On several occasions, a black person committed a crime, a police officer tried to arrest him, the suspect resisted arrest, and the officer was forced to kill him. This suggests to me that I should not break the law and not resist arrest. The woke crowd concludes that the police are murdering black people. We appear to be, but are not, content with this situation, so the woke crowd believes we are racist.
The woke crowd is putting pressure on us to believe we are a racist country. From 2016 to 2019, a few NFL players took a knee during the Star-Spangled Banner to say this country is racist. The pressure became so intense that the NFL now accommodates them. This year, the Black National Anthem is played before games. Most players either kneel or stay in the locker room during the real National Anthem. These players must believe that this country is racist. Since we are citizens, they must believe we are racist.
Almost all of them are millionaires. They worked hard at their profession and rose to the top. They are a typical American success story. They now get money and fame. We enjoy watching them play and contributing to their wealth. They should be grateful that they live in this country.
Instead of gratitude, the players are using their fame to call attention to their low opinion of the fans, their customers. The natural fan response is to boycott the games. Since the first kneeling by Colin Kaepernick in 2016, attendance and television ratings have gone down. In our first COVID-19 season, there are virtually no fans at the stadium. This decline will affect income.
The players will find that there is not enough money to support their large salaries.

Televise women’s beach volleyball alongside NFL games. Guys will prefer to watch fit young women in bikinis.
Even back when I liked and watched the NFL, I was baffled by people agreeing to use local funds for stadiums. In Houston, to build NRG stadium, it took several votes and absurd promises about all the jobs that would be generated. Walmart, which has a broader benefit to the community, never asked us to pay for their local warehouses.
The owners and Goodell can kid themselves that attendance is down due to Covid. But a lot of former fans are learning personal time is better spent away from NFL games and it is one time less per week we are accused of being racist.
Make sure to SELL all your NFL paraphernalia purchased over the years on ebay, craigslist, amazon, etc.
Flood the after market; quite a bit of their profits come from NFL memorabilia.
True, but fans with wives probably would soon produce a “honey do” list. Might backfire.
Same happens to any race. Resist get shot.
There is no sound financial reason for professional sports, or entertainment, to infuse politics into their sector.
I’ve never understood singers and musicians exhibiting political sides. When your business is volume in sales, you don’t make an effort to alienate 50% of your customers.
The big sports have followed suit, and it seems it might be a bit higher than 50%, who are walking away. Dumb!
There are quite a few amateur roller derby leagues now, but no professional roller derby.
Not very smart of them, what the hell were they thinking??? Let me side with the 13 percent the rioters snowflakes and looters and give the middle finger to all those millions of Americans that pay the salaries of your players, you and everyone working for the NFL. What a bunch of dumb a##es. Here is the proof you need, If you think there is nothing you can do individually to turn the tide your are wrong, the power of the purse is a killer. USE IT! STOP PATRONIZING businesses and corporations that take the knee, cancel services and dont purchase products that dont agree with America first

“Roller Derby Queen”
Gonna tell you a story, that you won’t believe
But I fell in love last Friday evening
With the girl I saw on a bar room TV screen
Well I was just getting ready to get my hat
When she caught my eye, and I put it back
And I ordered myself couple of more shots and beers
The night that I fell in love with a roller derby queen
Around and round, a round and round
The meanest hunk of woman that anybody ever seen
Down in the arena
She was 5 foot 6, two fifteen
A beach blonde mama with a streak of mean
She knew how to knuckle and she knew how to scuffle and fight
And the roller derby program said
That she was built like a ‘fridgerator with a head
Her fans called her Tuffy, but all her buddies called her Spike
The night that I fell in love with a roller derby queen
Around and round, a round and round
The meanest hunk of woman that anybody ever seen
Down in the arena
Well I could not help it, but to fall in love
With this heavy duty woman I’ve been speaking of
Things were kinda bad, untill the day she skated into my life
Well she might be nasty, she might be fat
But I never met a person who would tell her that
She’s my bleach blonde bomber, my heavy handed Hackensack mama
The night that I fell in love with a roller derby queen
Around and round, a round and round
The meanest hunk of woman that anybody ever seen
Down in the arena
If you are a black jock then it is certain you are not American.
Black jocks have abandoned America
The L.A. Thunderbird
OUTSTANDING !
It serves the same purpose (albeit speciously) as charity work.
I think the networks are the ones with the long term fixed price contracts. Advertisers typically have ratings requirements in their contracts with the networks, but the networks have agreed to pay billions so long as the games are played. The teams will be hit by lack of fans in the stands and any reduction in merchandising (I can’t imagine buying an NFL or other geegaw now) but for a few years it will will be the major victim. Awww, poor Fox, Comcast and Disney.
Just find a nice hobby or spend time with family.
More rewarding and a better use of your time anyway.
I’d much rather watch my kids play sandlot ball.
BOYCOTT THE NFL!!!!
Agreed. I don’t watch any sports of any kind now. Let them ALL go bankrupt, let them ALL know what it feels like to do so.
