First, presidential candidates typically do better with Latino voters when they run as the incumbent.
Second, many Latino voters don’t want to see anything approaching socialism in America
Third, Latinos noticed how well the economy was doing under Trump before the pandemic hit. This reality surely disposed some of them to vote for Trump. What we don’t know is the extent to which they blame Trump for the devastation caused by the pandemic and/or the shutdowns.
Finally, a fair number of Latinos may favor Trump’s tough stance against illegal immigration — not some of his rhetoric, but his policies. Latinos who came here legally might well resent those who did not, especially if they view the illegal immigrants as competitors for jobs.
I don’t know how these advantages will play out for Trump, but the Post is wrong to assume that Biden’s problems with Latino voters are confined to Obama-era policies and poor outreach.

But on the flipside, shouldn't we be similarly alarmed by Trump's underperformance with important voting blocs like whites in general and seniors in particular? It seems that we take all poll-driven indications of Biden's weaknesses as gospel, but dismiss Trump's weaknesses shown by the same polls.

Fifthly - they see Biden as the declining, demented, incoherent man he has become. Who wants to put their future in the hands of someone who may be completely incapacitated or even dead within 12 months?

Call the Laborers Hall for help and they would send out people..if the Labor foreman though he was illegal he was gone the next week..
Plus the Mexicans were not stupid...at the time they had the harder jobs..laborers,,cement finishers..masons..but they were sending their kids to apprentice schools to become electricans ,plumbers, elevator workers other better trades
What really surprises me isn’t the Latinos or Blacks supporting Trump. It is how Trump supposedly isn’t doing as well as a typical Republican with whites and seniors.
I mean how dumb do you have to be in those groups and support the Dem candidate in this day and age?
Those might all be contributing factors; but frankly I think it’s because they see Trump and Biden side-by-side and say “I’ll go for the manly man.”. And I also think they know Corruption when they see it.
Great that Trump is getting more support from Hispanics, but it won’t matter if he doesn’t get back the support he lost with white seniors.
He will be falling short with ALL VOTERS, soon enough.

Maybe voting blocks are finally realizing that it’s more about actions and fulfilled promises and not so much about how “smooth” a candidate sounds.
Look at Trump’s black support. They are finally learning that the Dems. are all talk and no action.
Trump fulfills his promises.
