Democrats have begun running up a lopsided advantage in early voting as well as absentee ballot requests, in an election what has seen an unprecedented split on voting strategy and furious attacks by the president on mail-voting.
The advantage is pronounced in the battleground states that will decide the election, and that are attracting candidate visits and a TV air war.
The differential in absentee ballot requests has hit three-to-one in Pennsylvania and North Carolina, two states that President Donald Trump won in 2016 that Joe Biden is hoping to strip back.
The advantage in the Keystone state has extended to ballot requests by people who didn't vote in 2016. A total of 175,000 Democrats who skipped 2016 have asked for ballots, more than double the number of Republicans, Politico reported.
The Democratic lead in ballot requests in Florida – a state Trump carried where Biden is making a run and holding a slight lead in the polls – is 700,000.
A similar dynamic is playing out in Ohio, a state Trump carried that lies just outside the 'blue wall' of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania that Democrats are focused on.
The Democratic advantage has carried over to key counties in Ohio, Statehouse News reported.
In strongly Republican Warren County, Republicans and Democrats are running about even in ballot requests. But Republicans accounted for three times as many requests four years ago.
The notable splits come during an election season when President Trump has repeatedly attacked mail-in voting as 'rife with fraud.' His campaign is in court seeking to stop mail ballots from going to all Nevada voters.
Trump has said mail voters 'cheat,' although evidence of actual mail fraud is rare. He also has attacked the postal service, which is charged with delivering mail-in ballots by election deadlines.

No one talks about this, but to me the most terrible thing about mail-in voting is that others can know who you vote for.
For instance, if my wife and I voted by mail, I wouldn’t let her vote for Biden. I don’t know how I’d do that but I’d try.

It depends on who programmed the computers.
If you are in a Democrat area you may have your Republican provision ballot replaced with a Democrat ballot, or, it might be discarded. Always follow up with the county and challenge the mail in ballot someone submitted fraudulently.
Make it as much of a pain for them as possible to encourage them not to rely on mail in voting again.
In Chicago when the Republican levers were jammed, they gave you a paper ballot. These were collected and held til evening. If not needed, they sent them to the collection point. If more Dem votes were needed, you run around and vote Straight Dem votes equal to the number of paper ballots. Then you pitch the republican ballots. That way the number of people who vote = the number of ballots cast and you are in the clear.

In Maryland, if an absentee ballot has been requested in your name (notice I didn’t say “if you requested an absentee ballot”) and you go to vote in person and claim you didn’t vote absentee, you will be given a “provisional ballot” to fill out. I’m assuming the provisional ballot will only later be counted if they determine your absentee ballot hasn’t been returned. If your absentee ballot had been cast, then you (and your provisional ballot vote) are SOL .
I don’t know about other states‘ processes.

Supreme Court ruled a few months ago that ballot harvesting was not allowed.
I can't find where this is actually true, other than a ruling from 2016 that allowed Arizona to keep a ban on ballot harvesting in place.
