MacArthur creates a terrible doublemindedness in his church... to be new testament believers who must somehow deny the power of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
And his stand against the State on Covid should have been a legal one and not a religious one.
He also has preached that it is okay for people to take the “mark of the Beast”.
He’s insane. And so are his disciples. Believe me, I know.

When I became a Christian, I attended a young adults’ bible study that often used MacArthur’s tape series. Looking back I give God all the glory for introducing me to Himself through the capable hands of a faithful-to-the-word teacher.
All he needs to do is hold an indoor riot or put up some BLM and anti-Trump literature. Then he can hold his services.
Another thing he can do is claim that his services are Islamic and the facility is a mosque. Just like gender fluidity, you can have religious fluidity.
I always understood his teaching about miracles to be that God used them and the sign-gifts as a form of evidence of His true Church during the days of the Apostles, and not that He was not capable of/no longer performing them.

Just be aware that this controversy conflict goes back to the MacArthur versus Hayford feud.
In the end, both preachers were right about each other and their mutual lack of discernment that the Holy Spirit is a spirit of self control, and that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever would have solved the terrible division they’ve sown in the Body.
