SAN ANTONIO - The founder of local activist group, Reliable Revolutionaries, who is pushing for police reform has been arrested for child abandonment.
Bexar County deputies were called out to the 7600 block of Fishers Path Wednesday evening for a call regarding children being home alone.
Once at the home, they found an 8-year-old and 2-year-old child looking out from the upstairs window. Deputies say they asked where their parents were when the older child opened the window to talk to them.
The child said his mother, identified now as Jourdyn Parks, was out but would return.
Deputies contacted child safe investigators, who came and looked into it. Parks eventually came back and was arrested for child abandonment.
I am psyhic. I knew before I clicked the link.
East of Kirby - not the best of neighborhoods...
Those who abandon their children should not throw stones.
Darn there it goes again...
She dindo nuffin’... For her kids.
So...what...looks like MLK and X on that shirt?
Who else is in the pic?
“I’ll bet I know exactly who snitched to the cops, and I know what I’m gonna do about it too! This was nothing but a Set Up!”
Cant you tell by the ears?
Cops: “Where’s your mama?”
8-year-old: “She’s out stickin’ it to de white man!”
Cops: “Which white man?”
8-year-old: “I dunno. She say she’s out lookin’ for justice.”
Cops: “You mean a judge?”
8-year-old: “I guess so. I dunno.”
Based on the camera angle of that pic, I’m guessing Limu Emu and Barack Obama.
That’s not child abandonment. Isn’t it just swell but now the state tells you how old your children have to be before you can leave them alone? I’m not saying I would leave my children alone with the world being the oldest, but apparently different parents draw the line at different levels. And at the end of the day, God didn’t give these children to me. He gave them to her. Those children are her responsibility, not the state’s.
Not the best advertisement for the Mexican Manhattan! I love that place, used to eat there all the time when we were in trial.
Being a “revolutionary” is giving her some sort of psychological self esteem she does not get being trapped in a single-mom life with two kids.
I bet she doesn’t force them to eat greens and lets them have ice cream too. This seems excessive.
We’ve eaten there many times. A couple of those chalupas will last you all day.
