I asked police if the fires are man-made or natural. (policeman acknowledges one is suspicious) click link for 30 second video.
Followup: they arrested 36 year old setting a fire on SR-167

They just put one out on 101 south of Florence.
I used to live next to a couple of idiots that would flip cigarettes out on I-5 headed south, and laugh about the black spots when they drove back north.
It is curious that these fires are happening all at the same time.
167 in Washington
Yup. Antifa or Muslims. Those people will burn and destroy anything.
Wouldn’t surprise me if it was antifa/blm.
Wanna stop this crap? Id call the media, douse the bastard and light a match.
Here in Washington State , Gov. Inslee blamed the fires on global warming, but the state Director of Public lands attributed them to human carelessness. As far as GW is concerned, this has been a slightly wetter year than average, not a period of draught.
Wow, in your link there is a video of some dude getting some street justice for fighting with a cop!

10 Sept: NBC16: Man seen starting fires at Oregon state park, local fire chief says
DEXTER, Ore. - Firefighters responded Wednesday to someone attempting to start fires at Dexter State Recreation Area, the fire chief said in a social media post.
The state park site is along Highway 58, one of the few travel corridors in Oregon not presently impacted by heavy fire activity...
Peterson said a middle-aged man with arm tattoos was seen “lighting two fires in the bushes as you turn towards the dam.”...
(The chief) asked the public to be on the lookout for a man with a black German Shepherd driving a green Ford or Chevy SUV. Anyone with information about the man is asked to contact law enforcement...

Not very easy to start a fire with a smoke even though they sure get blamed for a bunch. Probably the number one fire starter coming from vehicles is metal making contact with the road. Safety chains seem to be the number one suspect. Had one guy dragging a chain down I-20 in west Texas and started 5 fires in 22 miles. He was pulling his boat to the lake. Bad brakes and bearings can send out allot of sparks, see allot of fires started close to off ramps.
He should have been executed on the spot.
A suspect has been arrested in connection with the Sweet Creek fire near Mapleton... Elias Newton Pendergrass, 44, of Mapleton

Dont forget that the left will do whatever it takes to prevent the re-election of Trump.
FUnny you mention this. Recently here in Washington State, I noticed a long stretch of highway that had one burn after the next. Highway 16 from Tacoma Narrows to Bremerton. I said to myself...no way this isn’t arson.
Probably the same person that torched long stretches of Hwy 16 west of the Narrows bridge.
I watch the Northwest Interagency page on fires in the summer. Tuesday there was maybe 8 listings and most were pretty well contained. Today, BOOM, listings went about 3-times. Crazy. I am about 3-miles west of Sandy. Right now there is a couple degrees of sky to the NE, the rest is thick smoke (no smell here yet.) People that my nephew know were at evac 3 and brought their horses over. Told the owners, this is what country folk do for each other (this is rural Oregon.) Trees were a strange blue from sky light reflection this evening. At least riots and COVID were not on local news tonight. Should be OK, wind is from the Gorge (NE) and suppose to shift W>NW tomorrow That is all.
