Oh...I wouldn’t put it past the fund-raisers to plant such a story.
Consistently increasing inflow is something to point at when the media comes around.
And, just because they are fund-raising for Trump doesn’t mean they have scruples.
They are also fund raising for themselves.

Smacks of a MSM dirty trick. Plant the narrative “support for Trump has tanked so bad he has to put in his own money”. It’s so aggravating, if the press would Treat Biden the way they treat Trump Joe would be in the 20’s and that is the truth.

Who cares if Trump does spend his own money. Any idea how bad the portfolio hit would be in a Biden economy?

The current “Drudge” has as much credibility as “sources familiar with the matter”.
Careful who you follow.

Most likely it is a fundraising method. Trump Campaign is well ahead of where they were four years ago at this time. Their advertising, which I see online, is brilliant.

My personal inbox is full of messages from the Trump campaign pleading for my donation. For instance, Eric Trump will email "My father is counting on you..." and son on.

Personally, I don't mind it and I do make the occasional donation (making sure it goes directly to the Trump campaign and not to some flim-flam outfit). I'm glad to see this president is working so hard for re-election. This is not typical of your average Republican candidate.

I think because Trump is saving his advertising dollars for October, as Republicans generally do. Those big leads Democrats always show in the summer are not accidents - they are result of premature wasting of resources.

I have been getting those mails since 2016. Often I ignore them, or occasionally I take a chance on winning an opportunity to meet the president. Now that we are getting down to the wire, I have started making contributions again.
