Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden leads President Trump by nearly 6 points among active-duty troops, according to a new Military Times poll released on Monday, suggesting that the president’s support may be eroding among a group he sees as a part of his political base.
The poll, conducted in partnership with the Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University with participants chosen from Military Times subscribers, showed Biden garnering 43 percent support among active-duty service members to Trump’s 37 percent.
By comparison, a similar poll from October 2016 showed Trump leading then-Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton by roughly 20 points among military voters.

The actual reason is more likely that conservative officers were purged during the Obama years. And the conservatives remaining are often afraid to express their opinions. That said my brother-in-law is a full bird colonel and squadron commander in Northern California. He and the General he is under both lean left. He really can't give a coherent explanation when confronted, but it always seems somewhat incredible to me.

I think in the past leftists wanted nothing to do with the military, but now leftists, especially those from poorer communities are being encouraged to join the military with the intention of transforming it. Again, this is exactly what the Bolsheviks did to the Russian military during WWI.

Researchers sought to account for that and adhered to generally accepted scientific practices analyzing the data.The survey audience was 92 percent male and 8 percent female. The respondents identified themselves as 75 percent white, 14 percent Hispanic, 13 percent African American, 5 percent Asian and 5 percent other ethnicities. Respondents were able to select more than one race.

My son in law who’s an officer in the usaf told me there’s a lot of libs in the service these days. He’s actually a minority being a conservative , says he.
