Israel-UAE flight safely flies through Saudi airspace

Arabs and Muslims across the world should watch the airplane flying from Israel to the United Arab Emirates on Monday as a sign of what is possible through peace, Jared Kushner, senior adviser to President Donald Trump, said just before boarding the historic flight. It was the first-ever direct flight from Israel to the United Arab Emirates by an Israeli commercial airline on Monday morning.

"I prayed yesterday at the [Western] Wall that Muslims and Arabs from throughout the world will be watching this flight recognizing that we are all children of god and that the future does not have to predetermined by the past," Kushner said. "This is a very hopeful time and I believe that so much peace and prosperity is possible in this region and throughout the world."

The plane flew over Saudi Arabian airspace on its way to the UAE.

Before boarding the plane, head of Israel's National Security Council Meir Ben-Shabbat said he is “excited and proud to head the Israeli delegation...The traditional phrase ‘go in peace’ takes on a greater meaning.”

Ben-Shabbat said Israel’s goals for the trip is “to reach a joint work plan to promote ties in a broad range of areas,” including tourism, innovation, health and more.

This is good news. I wonder if there will ever be a direct flight from Israel to Tehran? Carter was a punk but he did succeed in Egyptian/Israeli peace. Got to give him credit there. If the Rats and never Trumpers would back off Trump just a little you can only imagine the progress towards other peace deals. The problem is that success needs to be maintained. The Rats always tear down positive accomplishments.

Not everyone will get the humor there, but I appreciate it. This was close to a peace and security agreement but things will probably have to get to that point thru another Arab country.

It's interesting that Europe seems to have been shuttled aside (at this point in time they are definitely non-players.) Keep in mind that the future headquarters for the Ac will not be in Italy but in the restored area of Babylon. I'd make my home in the penthouse of one of the Seven Star hotels (not 5 star, but 7) in Dubai.

However, one bit of clarification. Apostasis in that verse, although similar to our English word “apostasy” means departure. Sometimes it means rebellion or departure from the faith. At other times it’s verb form means physical departure as when Satan departed (apistemi) from Christ after the third temptation. If it means physical departure it refers to the Rapture, not just apostasy which has been around forever. Paul is telling the Thessalonians to stop worrying, they are not in the Tribulation because the Departure has not occurred.
