On Sunday, Governor Kate Brown rolled out a unified law enforcement plan which includes a community forum for Mayor Wheeler, protest organizers and community.
Oregon’s governor released details on Sunday evening of a plan to protect free speech and bring an end to violence in Portland.
“We all must come together—elected officials, community leaders, all of us—to stop the cycle of violence,” said Governor Kate Brown.

"The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office will prosecute serious criminal offenses, including arson and physical violence."
If the DA will only prosecute "serious" crime, most of the protesters will face no jail time. Catch and release.

Why would the other counties put their officers in harms way when the DA won’t prosecute people that they arrest while risking if they do one thing not to 100% perfection the DA will prosecute them. Tell the governor and mayor to take a flying leap.

“cycle of violence” rubs me the wrong way. Hear it used in reference to Israel and the Arabs. It implies there is a moral equivalence between the rioters and peaceful citizens and/or police. It implies both sides are to blame for violence in Portland.
Plus it looks like there may a special recall vote for her coming up.
