Newly emerged online video and photos apparently shows one of alleged Kenosha, Wisconsin shooter Kyle Rittenhouse’s victims holding a handgun during the encounter – as the suspect’s lawyer insists his client was acting in self-defense.
In the footage, Rittenhouse, a 17-year-old Illinois resident, can be seen allegedly shooting his third and only surviving victim Gaige Grosskreutz in the arm as the Grosskreutz apparently holds a handgun.
Prosecutors say Rittenhouse shot Grosskreutz, 26, shortly after fatally gunning down Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and Anthony Huber, 26, late Tuesday during protests over the Sunday police-shooting of 29-year-old Jacob Blake in the city.
The teen shooting suspect was charged with six criminal counts — including first-degree intentional homicide and attempted homicide – but his lawyer L. Lin Wood insists that Rittenhouse acted in self-defense.
According to Rittenhouse’s criminal complaint filed Thursday in Kenosha County Circuit Court, an unarmed Rosenbaum had followed Rittenhouse into a used car lot and a Daily Caller reporter identified as Richard McGinnis was trailing behind them.
At the lot, Rosenbaum attempted to throw a plastic bag at Rittenhouse and McGinnis, who witnessed the incident, told authorities that Rosenbaum tried to grab Rittenhouse’s Smith & Wesson AR-15 style .223 rifle before he was shot.

The wounded loser was holding his gun, after momentarily putting his hands up, and was swinging about to put it to the kid’s head and kill him. The kid’s a bit kooky, but he kept pretty cool under pressure.

In the video of the first incident the first shot is clearly not from a rifle. Sounded like a pistol round then a pause followed by clearly rifle fire.
I too believe he was fired upon before ever loosing his first round.
Of course it was self defense but the criminal DA charged him anyway. Who is the real criminal? The DA is and that person will never face justice for trying to destroy a young, white man’s life.

With that being said, this is just the beginning of his legal problems since he's likely to be sued for wrongful death by the families of the guys he shot and any innocent verdict on the murder charge won't factor into the lawsuits...This is going to drag on for years.

Lin Wood, the lawyer who got those nice settlements for Nick Sandmann, has offered to represent Kyle Rittenhouse for free.
Wood said it was a clear case of self-defense. CNN beware!
It’s probably a good thing that Rittenhouse is being charged with first degree homicide. Much harder to prove intentional murder with forethought to a jury.

There’s going to come a time when our side starts throwing “plastic bags” and I predict it won’t be at car lot cars or random people on the street.
I know I wouldn’t waste my time on low level targets like street soldiers.
IF, the DA takes this to trial, it will be under substantially reduced charges.
Of course the DA would prefer to have a guilty plea to reduced felonious charges, thinking the kid doesn’t have the money for a first rate legal team.
But he has a first rate legal team and will be a rich young man soon.

The prosecution is really stretching to find a reason to charge Kyle.
It is impossible to get that sort of trajectory with an empty plastic bag. I have seen other angles, so I do not believe it was a Molotov cocktail. I believe it was a plastic bag with a heavy object in it, to serve as an improvised mace. Notice the front part of the bag is black. Probably a brick or canned goods inside to give it heft.
