He said tomorrow they’re announcing new policies.
Public pressure is getting to them.
They wont. In the end, just like Roberts, they will defer to public safety.
If Newsom’s action are backfiring on him, the DEMs may be seeing some House districts they stole in 2018 lost in this election.
Most of the shutdown orders that have gone to court have ended poorly for the governors. I wonder if Newsom will back down to prevent the case from making it to judgement and setting a precedent. People think of California as a blue state, but if you look at a county-by-county map, there’s a whole lot of red and I’m guessing they’d be quite happy to have a ruling that lets them ignore Newsom’s edicts.
it boils down to a simple question: “who is responsible for the safety of the individual? the individual, or the state?”
They’ll have their decision by next June.
Soooo let me get this straight. Newsom closes schools and churches. And what the CA Supreme Court is upset about is kids not going back to their indoctrination camps (schools) which is NOT a constitutionally enumerated right, but is not the least bit concerned about the free exercise of religion which IS an enumerated right????
WTH?
I knew that there were libs on the court but .... just wrong.
I had the same reaction.
