Sen. Rand Paul, during the second night of the Republican National Convention, praised President Trump as someone who “gets things done” as he called for voters to support the president's re-election "if you hate war like I hate war."
Paul, R-Ky., a staunch conservative libertarian who challenged Trump during the 2016 Republican presidential primary, began his speech Tuesday night recalling how “down to earth” the president is.

And Pence earned his keep tonight as he always does. POTUS does not have a more stalwart ally.
But his history and formative years were as part of Orthodox Conservatism, which is now dead. And that’s something none of these old Republicans will be able to shed.
I’m with Paul. Every time we go to war, our culture lurches to the left. War upsets the moral compass.
Evert time we offshore production and a small or mid-sized town becomes economically decimated we lurch left. There are deleterious domestic social implications caused by globalist economics.
