The father-in-law of UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson's closest aide has reportedly said Johnson plans to stand down in six months because of lingering health problems caused by the novel coronavirus.
The Times of London's Diary column reported a conversation between Humphry Wakefield, the father of Dominic Cummings' wife, Mary, and a woman named Anna Silverman last week in which he is said to have told her that Johnson would resign early next year because of the lasting effects of his time in intensive care.

He may resign, but it won’t be because of lingering damage from COVID 19.
It will be because of his In-ability to reign in illegal immigration.

An odd announcement if it did happen. Why say he’ll resign in six months due to lingering effects of COVID? Sort of rules out the possibility that he might improve significantly over the next six months.
When you get past the first 5-7 days of covid...and your immune system starts to go haywire, your own body can kill you in the process of trying to kill the virus. Cytokine storm complication.

exactly- some folks are reporting they can’t even walk up a flight of stairs without suffering now that they survived the virus-
Most will get through it fine, but a few will lend up with permanent damage- that changes their life forever- unfortunately- An active woman athletic woman was discussing how it’s ruined her life- guess she almost died too- it’s gotta be hard to go from being very active to not being able to do hardly anything0- especially if they are younger folks- Thankfully though not many young folks get it badly-
Not sure if this guy was just talking out of school so to speak..or whether this was leaked for another reason.

Might be part of a deal, rather than really fully Covid driven.

If Prince Philip was his old self instead of a walking skeleton who looks like he could die at any time...I might think he was behind this

I guess it really whacks some folks unfortunately- course a lot of things can in life, but it would just stink going through life’s struggles for decades, only to be laid low by a tiny virus- especially if a person is or used to be very active- hard thing to accept- I know folks who got lyme disease- some seem to suffer long term effects- not fun
