Hurricane Laura emerged from the Caribbean Sea, leaving behind flooding and fatalities in Hispaniola and Cuba. Former Hurricane Marco dissipated Tuesday morning, a few hours before Laura strengthened to a hurricane.

We're just inside Texas from the point where the borders of TX, AR & LA meet at a single point.
We just topped off on propane, and are preparing for toppled trees & downed power lines. Fortunately we're right atop a watershed ridge, so, we would be the very last to see flooding. The main power line for our half of the county runs across our front lawn, so we're among the first to get power restored.

That said, I hope folks in harm’s way will take some comfort that this is happening on Trump’s watch. I can’t think of a better prez to ramrod the recovery.
