Anti-police protests erupted Sunday night in Kenosha, Wisconsin, just hours after a police officer was filmed shooting a black man in the back as he tried to enter his car.
Crowds of protesters first gathered at the scene of the shooting — where 29-year-old Jacob Blake was struck several times in the back and seriously injured — before making their way to the police station, according to local reports.
Footage posted to social media shows protesters banging on the station house window, screaming “F–k the police.”
Police later deployed tear gas, TMJ4-TV reporter Lauren Linder tweeted.
In another clip posted to Twitter, protesters throw what appears to be molotov cocktails and bricks towards police standing near a patrol car.
One officer appears to get struck by a flying object, knocking him to the ground.
Elsewhere in the city, dump trucks and garbage trucks that were placed at intersections were lit on fire.
Blake was shot at about 5:10 p.m. local time after police responded to the location for a domestic incident.
The footage circulating on social media of the shooting shows two cops with weapons drawn trailing Blake as he walks to a gray van and opens the driver’s side door to get inside.
One of the officers then grabs him by the back of his tank top and appears to shoot him at close range. A fusillade can be heard, followed by a car horn, and bystanders screaming.
A family member told Milwaukee’s WTMJ-TV that Blake’s children were in the vehicle when cops shot their dad.

If he had been tazed and was not affected, and was ignoring cops as he went to his car, there was already reason to suspect he had nefarious plans. It’s what a cop would be trained to think. And then he appeared, from that camera angle, to reach for something in the car.
I think this would have gone down the same way if he were white. I don’t think it was about race at all. It was about an uncooperative guy that may have been ramping it up.
But you are right. We started this movie in the middle and there is body cam footage (I assume) of the whole event.

It happened to me, domestic dispute, I had a federal marshall there to protect my rights.
Nosey neighbors call the cops and next I know, I am face down on the pavement, hand cuffed because 20 witnesses assume the man is the assailant.
Thank God that marshal was there to say, that is not what happened at all.

The police need skills to handle mental cases, drug users, and other Democrats without shooting them. Biden level stupid should hurt but not be a capital offense.
Once a helicopter is covering a high speed chase the police back off for safety reasons because there's no way the perp is getting away. Similarly the police should send up flying fishing net drones over problem customers, then back away. Robots have no wife and children they need to safely return to after their shift and have no legal basis for the use of lethal force.

if one shot is justified, 8 shots are justified, 12 shots are justified. Police shoot to kill amount of shots is not an issue, if its a justified shoot.

This country was built by people who handled sh!t like this themselves. Turning the police into collectors of human garbage hasn’t helped anyone except the human garbage (in most cases).

- relating a situation
- rushing to a situation
- rushing from a situation.
Whatever the situation, poor mindsets combined with poor training, are prepared to make a mess of it.
Any of you innocent protesters just standing around when the Molotov Cocktails and Roman Candles start flying are simply slow moving targets.
Police that patrol the inner cities aren’t really police. I look at them like game wardens and there are obvious inherit dangers when your workplace is wild and untamed.
