Anti-police protests erupted Sunday night in Kenosha, Wisconsin, just hours after a police officer was filmed shooting a black man in the back as he tried to enter his car.
Crowds of protesters first gathered at the scene of the shooting where 29-year-old Jacob Blake was struck several times in the back and seriously injured before making their way to the police station, according to local reports.
Footage posted to social media shows protesters banging on the station house window, screaming Fk the police.
Police later deployed tear gas, TMJ4-TV reporter Lauren Linder tweeted.
In another clip posted to Twitter, protesters throw what appears to be molotov cocktails and bricks towards police standing near a patrol car.
One officer appears to get struck by a flying object, knocking him to the ground.
Elsewhere in the city, dump trucks and garbage trucks that were placed at intersections were lit on fire.
Blake was shot at about 5:10 p.m. local time after police responded to the location for a domestic incident.
The footage circulating on social media of the shooting shows two cops with weapons drawn trailing Blake as he walks to a gray van and opens the drivers side door to get inside.
One of the officers then grabs him by the back of his tank top and appears to shoot him at close range. A fusillade can be heard, followed by a car horn, and bystanders screaming.
A family member told Milwaukees WTMJ-TV that Blakes children were in the vehicle when cops shot their dad.

Taking more than 15 minutes to get your narrative out there is effectively conceding defeat.
BLM is half right.
Negative. Theres nothing right about that organization.
Same name, same state, looks like the correct age, but the name is not uncommon.
I assume that after a few days of burning down the city, we will have actual facts.
Go look at post #73 and watch the video. This is why this thing happened. Even though this situation was not as violent it’s what they train for. Throw in the added stress police are under you can see clearly why this happened.
A good example being cops shooting a child (I mean a young child, not some 17 year old thug) with a toy gun. Sorry, never acceptable, under any circumstances.
Youre almost right. they want to take law abiding folks guns and they want to get rid of law enforcement ( guns and non lethal).
Who will be left armed?
Anyone teaching the Tueller drill needs to be removed from the force NOW.
If perp doesn’t have a REAL gun, in hand, and gets shot, riots will ensue; the police either have to adapt to this or find other jobs. This BS of Resisting Arrest being a capital offense is part of why our cities are burning down.
“I may get flamed for this....Cops are shooting too many people.”
Yep, and if you point this out, you clearly hate police, are ok with rioting, ect. One does not equal the other. So far, in less than a week, we have two dead American citizens, due to “noise complaint” and “domestic disturbance”.
What some do not seem to realize, is that police officers are agents of the state. You simply must hold them to a higher standard.
I like to use a comparison for each incident. Take the very same incident, apply it to one of our soldiers in say Iraq or Afghanistan, and see if our soldier would be brought up on charges for the shooting. If they would, you simply cannot let police officers off, they deal with American citizens, while our soldiers are dealing with other peoples in a combat zone.
Take it up with the DEMOCRAT mayors who run all of these cities, and the people who vote for them.

Scroll down in that story to see what the WI Governor said. With that and the likely politics of Kenosha, I doubt that anyone will be allowed to release any information early to exonerate the police involved. These matters instantly go to the top of the Democrat Party for tactical and propaganda considerations.
He’s alive
Would outstanding warrants cause a person to resist arrest? Perhaps violently?
Your second statement here is flat-out wrong, and the "extreme training" is a product of that wrongheaded thinking.
Consider this message I've posted a number of times in recent months here on FR:
THE ROLE OF POLICE IN A FREE NATION
This idea that Americans have come to take for granted -- that we need police officers "to serve and protect" us -- has no place in a free nation. This country was built by people who were perfectly capable of PROTECTING THEMSELVES.
The purpose of "law enforcement" isn't to protect the citizens at large. It's to ensure that accused criminals are apprehended and protected so they can be subject to legitimate trials instead of hunted down and given "justice" by armed vigilantes.
We -- including conservatives -- have forgotten this fundamental aspect of the U.S. legal system over the years. As a result, we no longer think of the police as law enforcement officers and instead see them as nothing more than armed security guards doing a job that we are too lazy and irresponsible to do ourselves.
Part of confrontation management taught in police academies is that the first sign of a possible assault is non-compliance with verbal commands. Clearly that was occurring. Now, to Monday morning quarterback the situation, the officer could have holstered and then physically tackled the suspect. The problem is, however, we can’t clearly see if he had any sort of weapon which might preclude that action by the officer. What is also unclear is exactly what was inside that vehicle once the suspect was inside it? I can guarantee you that that information will be the last to come out if it indicates justification for the officer’s actions. Mr. Ellison in MN prevented the release of bodycam footage in the Floyd incident specifically to allow the media hyped scenario to become embedded in the BLM believer’s psyche. No reason to beleive the same won’t happen here.
Shooting someone in the back can never be justified, nevermind 7 times.
Where did you get that idea he was shot in the back 7 times? Not even CNN claims that.
Police are revenue generators for cities and states.
