A white police officer in Kenosha, Wisconsin opened fire on an unarmed Black man who was simply walking away from him -- shooting him point-blank seven times ... and it's all on video.
You see the man walking away from a few officers ... who appear to be telling him to stop, with guns drawn. He makes his away around a car in a nonthreatening manner, he opens the door and attempts to get inside. One of the cops grabs hold of his shirt, and for some inexplicable reason, he unloads seven rounds at arm's length. The victim was flown to a hospital and has been listed as being in serious condition.
Protests are now growing by the minute. Many are demanding the swift arrest of the officer who fired the shots.

Same situation. Resisting....taser not working....makes it back to car...procures gun (probably stolen).....tries to kill everyone on site. Good shoot IMHO. You NEVER let a detained person (WITH A WARRANT) return to their car in a hostile/defiant manner.
In society, a cop isn’t just a man, the cop has the authority and responsibility given to him by society to enforce social order, up to and including the use of lethal force to prevent felonies and apprehend felons. If you walk away from a cop against his expressed commands and put your hands where he can’t see them, then the cop reaches the point where he can’t be sure he’ll make it home if he doesn’t take the shot.
He was walking away from a cop who had his gun drawn. Not a peace-loving move. More like “f*** you, f*** your gun, f*** your fear that made your draw your gun, I’ll do what *I* want”.
What possesses a man to ignore the instructions of police?
Why does he put his own life needlessly at risk?
I thought that looked earlier like a cell phone, but I saw what looked like a hooked blade in his right hand.
Realize that what we are saying is that, in stop-motion video, both of us see things in his hands that look like they might be dangerous.
It’s hard to fault a police officer with real-time only who makes the same determination in the split-second he has.
It also makes me furious that they keep saying “shot 7 times in the back”. Yes, he was shot in the back, because at the moment he was shot, he was pulling away from the cop to get something from his car. The idea that “shooting in the back” is indicative of a bad shoot is stupid — I would almost think it was worse if he was shot in the front.
Looks like suicide by cop to me. You’re pretty much guaranteed that if the police are pointing guns and yelling at you, and you ignore them and head to your vehicle to get something (with a record for illegal firearms), it’s going to come to a rather unpleasant conclusion....for you.
These thugs are under the impression that the cops are no longer going to shoot. Wrong. If you fear for your life, you shoot.

A cop is a man no more and no less. He is given a job of enforcing the law not societal order. They are allowed to use lethal force to protect their own life or that of others. Committing a felony may or may not be objectively reasonable (SC standard) which means the cops cannot shoot someone simply to prevent a felony or for fleeing. They cannot shoot a fleeing felon unless they pose a threat to themselves or others.

Never heard anything like “black man shoots white unarmed five-year-old in the head at point blank range, while he was simply riding his bicycle.”
There are no protests, and calls for the black man to be released are growing. A go fund me page has been set up for the poor black shooter.
A car is a deadly weapon
When you are 1) actively fleeing from a cop and 2) you place your hands in a place where they cannot be seen, the cop can 1) assume that you are reaching for a deadly weapon and 2) defend himself and others using lethal force without actually seeing the weapon.
Thats a long way from enforcing social order.

Watched it unfold live stream last night and on the scanner: 1) The man shot had an open warrant for arrest for assault, he resisted arrest, was tapered and kept going into his car. The shooting looks bad but may have been justified. There was a gun in the car.
2) Later in the night at the shooting scene with riot police at the house and a mob outside vandalizing patrol cars a female officer attempted to secure a weapon in one patrol car and drive it away. Mob blocks the car and throws two Molotov cocktails at the car to burn her. Two officers come to her aid and one is hit in the head with a brick and nocked unconscious. Female office exits car with weapon drawn to protect officer down. Riot police move forward to push crowd back. Swat car arrives to pick up injured officer and rush him away to the hospital. Do not know his condition.
3) Several hundred people after marching reach the downtown police station and threaten officers. Takes a while for riot police to deploy with two officers on roof with rifles heard on scanner. After a bearcat arrives and tear gas deployed dispersing mob an idiot with an H-bar AR-15 type rifle confronts the police line. One other person is seen also with a rifle. Some comment they were boogola boys.
4) Hours later this same idiot with a rifle attempts to block a police bearcat from reaching the court house with a fire set next to it. He blocks the bearcat and tonts the police. The second person with a rifle also shows up. Tear gas is deployed and the bear cat makes it through. Later another fire is set on the court house itself and riot police put that fire out. Fire trucks never arrive or deploy. Gunfire is heard later and scanner reports shots fired as the bearcat takes fire. Cold have been from the idiots with the rifles.
5) Dump trucks and garbage trucks were set up in the street to bloke rioters near a park across from the court house. Rioters set at least 5 of these vehicles on fire. Watched them do it with explosive devices and they laughed about it. Made me sick to watch it and nobody do a dam thing.
6) The live streamer is usually at Portland Oregon riots every night and is an ANTIFA supporter. He was on is way to Washington D.C. and diverted to Kenosha when he heard about the shooting knowing there would be riots. They have been rioting in Portland for @90 days straight every night. This idiots was giving instructions to the mob as he streamed in Kenosha because he is a professional rioter and the Kenosha mob was not a professional rioter like he was. He called out police tactics and how to expects and react to tear gas, when and how officers would deploy. Made me sick to watch it unfold live.
***Can’t believe this is America and the country I love. Social media is destroying the fabric of our nation We do to know all the circumstances of the shooting and the mob is roused to react instantly. Yet democrat Governors and Mayors let this happen over and over. Three months straight in Portland with ANTIFA marching through neighborhoods every night and the local DA not prosecuting them encouraging lawlessness. I pray for our nation as this all keeps getting worse because of the flames fanned by fake news and instant carnage from social media.
I went to read news reports and every news outlet is distorting the facts as presented by Google, or Google is blocking the truthful ones and only showing the half truths, omissions, or out right lying reports. And they get away with it and sway public opinion.
In one video posted that was not live streamed shows the idiot in the red shirt and long hair with the rifle move to the back of the bearcat as it rolled forward and he briefly raises the muzzle of the rifle at the bearcat expecting officers to exit the rear. He should have been shot just for doing that. Hope he is later identified and arrested.
