During Joe Biden's presidential nomination acceptance speech Thursday night, both his personal YouTube page and the Democratic Party's YouTube page saw strong, negative reactions from live audiences. In fact, "Dislikes" outnumbered "Likes," in real time.
Yet both pages' "Dislikes" mysteriously dropped in the hours after the Democratic National Convention (DNC) had concluded. The changing statistics led some on social media to wonder if the Google-owned YouTube platform was protecting Biden.
The number of Democratic convention stream "Dislikes"--or people pressing a button saying they did not like the content onscreen--dropped on Friday below where they stood on Thursday last night. The removed Dislikes could be a signal that YouTube is concerned about fake accounts or bots trying to influence the election or indicative of something else, experts said.
Tech giants have for years been in the crosshairs of Republicans for perceived anti-conservative bias.
There were many more "Dislikes" than "Likes" on DNC proceedings Thursday, but many of those "Dislikes" later disappeared, and the ratio shifted in the other direction.

I really don’t think that YouTube is concerned about robots trying to make Biden look bad.
I think they’re worried about real people who don’t like Biden. And they want to give him a helping hand.
Not that it is a surprise, but the very conflicted mega-capitalist Zuckerberg has adopted the methods of the anit-capitalist CCP. And when they run everything, he will be one of the first to be sent off to labor camps as a corrupt capitalist who needs to be reeducated.
They’re doing everything they can to protect/boost this poser and his favorite ho....LOL
It is an attempt to influence the election. But if you base your vote on the likes and dislikes on Yourube, maybe you shouldn’t be voting.
bump
It is absolutely pathetic that so many people put credence in someone’s like or dislike. It just shows that they cannot think for themselves. That’s a weak minded approach to life and rather cowardly not to form an opinion and stick by it.
They will deny it, but they do it.
It is and all these tech companies are going to rig the election. 2 people who work for Google admitted on video tape they are going to rig the election, and nobody does anything about it.
Google’a illegal campaign contributions in kind continue.
BARR?
Who cares about likes and dislikes. I care about disappearing votes for my guy and manufactured votes for Biden.
Good article. JustTheNews should be commended for tracking this sort of thing. Rasmussen had a good analysis, except mentioning ‘bots’ which implies Trump (or his supporters) are using their own version of ‘Fake News’.
Trust bust big tech.
No more excuses.
Trump is not just running against Biden. He is running against an army of very bad people.
Often I see some CNN Youtube uploads, and they also rank high in dislikes. I am sure that YOUTUBE monitors have the capacity to tweak, and change the outcome. Same with ballots. People in the offices sending out ballots, as well as postal workers. It isn’t the POST office workers, as much as mischievous little grunts going around behind postal trucks picking up ballots from boxes, then going in a glee party with their Tic Tac friends, making X in the box of their choice. We are SCREWED if we got postal for the vote.
Of course they're protecting Biden and are trying to make him look good. Nothing new here. Recently Yahoo turned off all comments (and likes & dislikes) to their “news” articles. These articles have been completely one sided against conservatives, and lately almost all of the comments have been scathing to the premise and facts of said articles. So of course the comments had to stop. This will get more widespread.
We call this a Felonious and Illegal in kind political contribution, where the hell is the DOJ?? They should have already criminally charged them and seized their Domain.
Damn Russian bots helping Trump!
