A Biden-Harris presidency would largely end oil and gas production
The Hill ^ | August 22, 2020 | Jason Hayes

Joe Biden’s selection of Kamala Harris as his vice presidential running mate could mean the end to the affordable energy that makes modern American life possible.

In comparison to the Trump administration, which has prioritized deregulation and energy dominance, the former vice president and California senator have both committed themselves to heavily restrict fracking as they focus on climate change and renewable energy. If enacted, the Biden-Harris plan would reduce energy choices, increase prices and drive Americans back to international markets for essential energy supplies.

On issues of energy supply, Biden has been clear. For example, moderators at the Democratic Party debates asked him about his position on hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, the means by which American natural gas producers have helped to free us from many of the vagaries of international energy markets. He boldly replied, “No more drilling on federal lands. No more drilling, including offshore. No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill, period. Ends!” Later, in the same debate, he added, “No new fracking.”

That broad and somewhat vague pronouncement likely raised blood pressure readings among supporters in Biden’s campaign. Promising to put as many as 1.7 million American workers out of a job by banning fracking would be a hard sell for any campaign, especially in gas-producing states such as Texas or Pennsylvania. So no one was surprised to see Biden staffers walk back the former VP’s ambiguous promises immediately after the debate. They quickly limited his anti-fracking rhetoric to targeting energy development on federal lands.

And Biden staffers aren’t the only ones openly correcting policy stances for the former vice president. Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.), who co-chairs the Sanders side of the Biden-Sanders Unity Task Force, is getting in on the action, too.

Now we have plastic that accesses the bank account ledger. There is no need for tons of paper

That's nice, but...

What happens when the power is out? No ATMs, no POS terminal, no banking data centers.

That is a needless worry. In that event, cash is of no value either

You created a strawman that really doesn’t matter

It would pretty much end America.

Energy density of oil is only bested by nuclear, and cheap energy is the source of wealth and civilization. To “stop drilling” would mean a MUCH poor America, controlled once again by Saudis, Russians or others.

“A Biden-Harris presidency would largely end oil and gas production”

And end gun ownership (except foe MS13, big city gangs, felons, etc), end freedom of speech, end police departments, end private health care, end embargo of weapons into Iran, end limiting Muslim migrants aka invaders entry into the country, end deporting illegal aliens back to their home country, end denying free healthcare, education, welfare to illegals.

“Fauxi helped fund that CCP bioweapons lab over there to create the crap to start with.”

You should do a little more research in what you are saying before you want to hang someone.

The “funding” you are talking about were grants that were awarded after a different kind of coronavirus — SARS — spread across the world in 2003. The NIH also didn’t give the funds directly to the Wuhan Institute, instead awarding them to EcoHealth Alliance, which invests in health research globally. The money helped support research that led to 20 research papers on coronaviruses published over the six years, according to the NIH. It’s not clear whether Fauci was personally involved in the grants in any way. But for him to get involved with anything like this is like saying the CEO of Disney is personally making sure the popcorn vendors have their product. I don’t like Fauci anymore than many, but that’s the time line of the grants at least 10 years ahead of the release and not to China.

The first coronavirus was discovered in 1965 but has been in the horseshoe bat rna long before 2019 and was named a SARS virus previously. These bats roost from eastern China to north Africa, Russia to Norway. So how come the infection didn’t pop up somewhere else and only in one place? It was engineered as China now is recognized as the leading bio weapons producing country in the world. But nothing involving Fauci as the funding didn’t come directly from them but was given to a company that funds world wide research. The other company gave it to China.

What about coal. Since the plants are already built, it is by far the cheapest energy source. If this country plunges back into depression, we will need cheap energy.

A Biden-Harris presidency would largely end oil and gas production.

That totally makes sense...now that America has finally become a Net Oil Exporter. They are systematically pushing for global governance, but a very prosperous USA gets in the way of that. I bet Trump has reeeeally pushed back the goals of the Soros' in the world. No wonder that they're willing to kill "expendable" citizens, make crazy accusations, lie-lie-lie to deceive a whole country (indeed the world) in order to get rid of PDJT and eventually achieve a One World Government.

I live in Kingsport Tennessee, home of Eastman Chemical Co.

In aout 1980 my good engineer friends worked with the Bechtel corp to design and build a coal gasification plant that made gas from coal and then from the gas,the specialty downstream chemicals needed to produce Eastman plastics and various polyester products. They later built another one. They also built another one, a pilot plant for the government which now may be gone.

They in effect bypassed the petroleum/gas producers by rolling their own from coal produced in nearby South West Virginia mines.

Two or three years ago, they ran in a large bore gas line from near by gas fields I believe in Eastern Kentucky. That line at least is used to fire two of the large generators/steam producers that run the plant. I have wondered if it is still cheaper to operate the gassifican plants than run in lines from near by gas fields.

I guess we’ll see

I’ll stand corrected on that, RW. However, as late as 2014, he was still behind the funding of things over there and is even on record of making the statement that POTUS would soon be facing a future pandemic.
I still maintain both Fauxi and Scarf should be held accountable for what they said and did...including arrested, tried and hanged IF they were in on collusion with the CCP/DNC of this BS from the start.

The dems need to be careful on this. If they destroy the economy first, they will have difficulty importing the hundreds of millions of third world voters they need to ensure perpetual one party rule.
