Those who dislike Donald Trump may think it’s OK to let the Democrats run things for four years. Never Trumpers might be fearful of the leftward lurch of the Democratic Party but believe they could always fix things four years later -- that these are just the same scare tactics we hear every four years.
But things are different this time.

If the Dems get crushed in the Senate during an election cycle, it could push the country Far Right. Ending the Filibuster can work both ways.
Oh for sure. If we lose in November, it’s over! And no that is not hyperbole.

Don’t think they will coattail off of Trump?
I've heard the same wailing in the past, and I remember what happened in the mid-terms during Obama's first term. He had strong majorities in both houses of Congress, but the Pubbies retook control of the House in 2010.
When, not if, the pendulum swings back, the Democrats will be sorry they ended the filibuster.

You might actually want to read the piece before commenting on it. The first bill that Biden promises to pass would be to give citizenship to all illegal aliens so that they can vote. They would ban voter IDs, and the cleaning up of voter registration roles. They would give statehood to DC and Puerto Rico so that the Dems would have four more Senate seats. Those are things that they have promised. They could also pack the courts so that they would control the redistricting process to ensure more Democrats in the House.
The Democratic Party is not the same as a decade ago. If you think that only a medical care plan is going to pass then you will be wrong. They will change the entire way the country runs.
