Recently, I learned from family, friends, and neighbors what happened when Antifa, seeking to cause havoc, came to an Italian-, Irish-, and now Albanian-American Bronx neighborhood and another almost exclusively Italian-American Bronx neighborhood nearby.
Apparently, when confronted by an organized and motivated opposition, they decided that discretion was the better part of valor and retired from the field of battle.
How unexpected. When their cowardice was exposed, they took their ball and went home — or, perhaps, to another area where they knew they would not face resistance to their riotous depredations.
The one Bronx neighborhood, which is residential but has many small businesses on the main thoroughfare, did not suffer the riots, looting, arson, and violence that have been prevalent in cities and towns across America. When Antifa came for it, the Italians, Irish, and Albanians, armed with pistols, rifles, baseball bats, swords, and knives, merged onto the main thoroughfare, blocking it and other tertiary streets. Faced with armed resistance, Antifa's forces were compelled to accept who and what they are, a band of spoiled white college kids who like to break things, play dress-up, and pretend they are a force to be reckoned with.

You’re right about the police and their duplicity. During the past few months I’ve lost all respect I once had for the police. They’ve shown themselves to be craven money-grubbing mercenaries who let the murder and mayhem continue while persecuting innocent victims of the rioters who are trying to defend themselves. They’ve followed every evil order they were given by their corrupt and criminal Marxocrat masters. I don’t see how they ever regain the civic trust they squandered during this COVID-19 insanity.

Exactly what I’ve said again and again. These turds act exactly like bullies, they omly understand one thing. Brute force.
I saw it as a kid over and over. Put up with 3 or4 bullies constantly harassing me till one day I got fed up, knocked some dolt on his ass, then I’d have no more trouble. Being against violence to begin with, I never had sense enough to do it the SECOND time one of them pushed me around...after a warning the first time.
As for the number of firearms, consider this. Chicago police confiscated just over 50,000 guns in 2019, in gun controlled Chicago alone. That’s just the illegal guns they did find. Judging by the number of shootings so far this year, they found far from all, and that’s still just illegal guns in one city.
Houston alone probably has around the 300 to 400 thousand he quotes...about the same size city as Chicago. Houston has over 1000 places to buy guns a cording to a recent comparison I read, while Chicago has ZERO. (legal gun dealers) And Chicago police confiscated 50,000????

I’m afraid the carelessness with the number of gun owners pretty much destroys any credibility the rest of the article may have had, at least for me.
Here’s a federal report that there were over 10 million hunters in the US in the US in 2016.
There are far more gun owners than there are hunters, but those hunters are serious enough to buy a license and go into the fields and woods with a gun during hunting season.
