A YouGov poll of 1,134 Scottish people found more than half (54 percent) of SNP voters don't want English tourists to be able to cross the border. This compares with just over a third (37 percent) of Scottish Labour supporters and 19 percent of those who voted for the Scottish Conservatives in last December's general election. Just over half (52 percent) of Scots who voted "Yes" in the 2014 independence referendum also oppose letting in English tourists without entering a period of quarantine, while 55 percent of "No" voters support allowing English tourists into Scotland.
Overall, 47 percent of people quizzed in the poll supported English tourists being able to enter the country without a period of isolation.
More than a third (34 percent) of SNP voters support the current system of allowing English voters to cross the border without requiring them to quarantine, as opposed to 49 percent of Labour voters and 65 percent of Tory voters.
The poll was carried out as Scottish independence supporters stepped up their campaign for the country to split from the rest of the UK, with a protest at the border demanding people from England be banned from entering or to impose a mandatory quarantine period.

You mean to tell me that there are people in those isles who actually have at least a bit of fight left in them, even though it is just a frown?
After Scotland goes independent you will see otherwise. And guess who has less than 3% of the muslims in the UK?
yes 21, just a frown
I lost considerable respect for myMacMillan roots several years back when scotland voted not to become free from their english masters.
Geographically speaking, say what now?
Can’t they just fix up Hadrian’s Wall?
I think that the English would tell them “well...bye” if it wasn’t for the sub base.
Scotland was a poor and miserable country before it’s union with England and it will be a poor and miserable country again if it ever leaves. These are marxist socialist agitators trying to take power to create another utopian disaster.
Hard to believe how many crucial inventions came from Scotland, powering the Victorian era and up to the early part of the 20th Century. What happened? 70+ years of liberalism, I guess.
There is a fairly large border zone between them (if New Mexico and Arizon are willing to be called a border zone, which I doubt.)
Caught me. I originally had “Mexican” and then thought about the massive influx of Californians to Texas and made the change without thinking.
Scotland is the only country the British have conquered but never colonized.
Firstly, I take it you mean 'English' other than 'British', since English, Scots, and Welsh are all British.
Secondly, Scotland was never 'conquered', apart from a few decades under Edward I in the 13th century. The Union of Crowns and subsequently Parliaments was a voluntary union of equal partners, not a conquest. In fact Scotland was the senior partner in that Union, since it began with a reigning Scottish monarch inheriting the English Crown. Ever since the Union of Parliaments in 1707, England and Scotland have been constitutional equals within the United Kingdom. Neither has been ruled by the other.
There are over five million people in Scotland and for this fake news they managed to find 600 who want to ban the English from crossing the border to Scotland
LOL
Don’t blame them. Unlike friendly Scots, the English are rude and unhelpful.
Scottish voters demand English people be BANNED from crossing border to Scotland.
They have been saying this for centuries!
