ABU DHABI, 13th August, 2020 (WAM) -- President Donald J. Trump, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, spoke today and agreed to the full normalisation of relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.
This historic diplomatic breakthrough will advance peace in the Middle East region and is a testament to the bold diplomacy and vision of the three leaders and the courage of the United Arab Emirates and Israel to chart a new path that will unlock the great potential in the region. All three countries face many common challenges and will mutually benefit from todays historic achievement.
Delegations from Israel and the United Arab Emirates will meet in the coming weeks to sign bilateral agreements regarding investment, tourism, direct flights, security, telecommunications, technology, energy, healthcare, culture, the environment, the establishment of reciprocal embassies, and other areas of mutual benefit. Opening direct ties between two of the Middle East's most dynamic societies and advanced economies will transform the region by spurring economic growth, enhancing technological innovation, and forging closer people-to-people relations.
As a result of this diplomatic breakthrough and at the request of President Trump with the support of the United Arab Emirates, Israel will suspend declaring sovereignty over areas outlined in the Presidents Vision for Peace and focus its efforts now on expanding ties with other countries in the Arab and Muslim world. The United States, Israel and the United Arab Emirates are confident that additional diplomatic breakthroughs with other nations are possible, and will work together to achieve this goal.
The United Arab Emirates and Israel will immediately expand and accelerate cooperation regarding the treatment of and the development of a vaccine for the coronavirus. Working together, these efforts will help save Muslim, Jewish, and Christian lives throughout the region.
This normalisation of relations and peaceful diplomacy will bring together two of Americas most reliable and capable regional partners. Israel and the United Arab Emirates will join with the United States to launch a Strategic Agenda for the Middle East to expand diplomatic, trade, and security cooperation. Along with the United States, Israel and the United Arab Emirates share a similar outlook regarding the threats and opportunities in the region, as well as a shared commitment to promoting stability through diplomatic engagement, increased economic integration, and closer security coordination. Todays agreement will lead to better lives for the peoples of the United Arab Emirates, Israel, and the region.
The United States and Israel recall with gratitude the appearance of the United Arab Emirates at the White House reception held on January 28, 2020, at which President Trump presented his Vision for Peace, and express their appreciation for United Arab Emirates related supportive statements. The parties will continue their efforts in this regard to achieve a just, comprehensive and enduring resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. As set forth in the Vision for Peace, all Muslims who come in peace may visit and pray at the Al Aqsa Mosque, and Jerusalems other holy sites should remain open for peaceful worshippers of all faiths.
Prime Minister Netanyahu and Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan express their deep appreciation to President Trump for his dedication to peace in the region and to the pragmatic and unique approach he has taken to achieve it.
Foolish post.
Israel and the GCC absent maybe Qatar, are natural allies fighting Iran. Iran hates Jews and covets the UAE wealth.
The announcement merely makes public agreements that have been secret for a very long time.
Of course you didn’t know...... the agreements were secret.

Areas under Trump’s plan included “about 30 percent of Judea and Samaria, including the Jewish communities, and most of the Jordan Valley, including the roads that lead to it”.
On hold now?!
Hailing Israel-U.A.E. agreement to normalize relations, national security adviser Robert O'Brien says Pres. Trump "should be a frontrunner for the Nobel Peace Prize." https://t.co/NCj5g1WI8W pic.twitter.com/uLuIw33tsB— ABC News (@ABC) August 13, 2020
Well it was a good post. I guess the sarcastic first line is what got me.
God bless.
The problem I have with this agreement is Israel being kept from land it rightly is theirs. I see no need to put that in since both Israel and UAE benefit from a united front against Iran.
I hate these Middle East deals that somehow keep Israel from the land that is rightfully theirs.
How does it benefit us?
Wow....a ‘hint’ of how the ultimate 7 Year Peace Agreement with Israel might begin looking like?... Very Interesting.
The UAE has been pushing “propaganda” (for lack of a better term) recently emphasizing itself as a country undergoing modernist reforms. I’ve been seeing Facebook videos made by an Arab blogger talking about Christian churches built next to Mosques, as well as Jewish places of worship. Pork now being sold in the supermarkets, albeit in a Pork-section. Mutual respect and tolerance for all religions. And a promise of further reforms to come. Plus a long spiel on why it’s great to be a tourist in the UAE.
Article states...” Israel will ‘suspend’ declaring sovereignty over areas outlined in the Presidents Vision for Peace and ‘focus its efforts now on expanding ties’ with other countries in the Arab and Muslim world.”....
Sounds like Israels looking for what we know will one day occur..... Very interesting.
More commerce. Less war.
I’m going with ‘none’... The old ‘give up land for peace’ was a democrat idea...
Other than the moral benefit of protecting God’s chosen people, we have a strategic location in an otherwise hostile, dangerous and nuclear-developing section of the world.
Could be a hint of what the 7 Year Peace Agreement would look like as it begins to materialize.... Just as Russia and China sleeping together as we watched that begin, though it's not as cozy as they'd like everyone to think, it nonetheless is apparent today...... Fascinating how we see Europe, the middle East and other nations moving into positions.
Other than the territorial component that I disagree with, this looks like a benign agreement.
The agreement with the World Conqueror & False Christ - the pre-revealed beast - at the beginning of Daniel’s seventieth week will be pretty malevolent. But since America and the Holy Spirit are no longer in the world, Israel will probably feel it has no choice, especially while 1/2 of the world is being slaughtered.
Agreed. And is this particular agreement, both sides benefit against Iran without Israel having to give up any rights to its land.
I hate these Middle East deals that somehow keep Israel from the land that is rightfully theirs.
Well we’re not there yet....
Well we’re not there yet....
......”The old give up land for peace was a democrat idea”.....
Actually Land for peace has always been “played” regarding Israel clear back to BiBlical Days.
