A Pennsylvania public school teacher has complained that at-home instruction would impinge on teachers abilities to destabilize a kids racism or homophobia or transphobia and host discussions about racism, sexuality, and gender.
The coronavirus-fueled transition to online learning has shifted the domain for pushing far-left propaganda on American students from classrooms to homes, and some teachers specifically Matthew Kay of Philadelphias Science Leadership Academy are frustrated the shift will complicate their ability to spew their radical beliefs.
Kay took to Twitter to explain how the prospect of parents listening to class discussion could damage conversations about race, gender, and sexuality, providing insight into the far-left indoctrination of American schoolchildren.
The public high school English teacher also worried that parents especially conservative ones could hinder his work of destabilizing kids racism or homophobia or transphobia.
In full, the eye-opening thread reads:
Unsurprisingly, Kay has also written Not Light, But Fire: How to Lead Meaningful Race Conversations in the Classroom, featuring chapters such as Demystifying The Safe Space and Lessons From The 2016 Election.
Chapters of Kays 2018 book
Its no secret that social justice reigns supreme in academia, but the pandemic is shining a light on just how calculated and radical American public school classrooms really are.

“Oh dear - parents may actually get to see what their children are being taught in public schools.”

He’s big on speaking about racism and wants to continue selling his book.
Frankly he’s a very good reason for Homeschooling your kids.....I’d pull my kids if he was teaching them!!!!
His chief concern is “conservative” parents?, but he is also concerned that damage can come from the left, too.
TOO? So conservatives are a chief damage concern.
And “conservative”? Tell us what you really prefer to call us. De-mystify us on that, please, Mr.(?Mrs?) Matthew Kay?
GAY KAY is speaking for MOST PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS! EVIL!
I could add “PUBLIC SCHOOL” to my Tagline.....Abortion AND Public School......the CHILD SACRIFICE to the god of Convenience.
Well lets see now, Islam is a cult, LBGTQ are a bunch of mentally deranged ,morally corrupt idiots,BLM are all Marxists cummies that should be exterminated. Antifa are rich white kids being paid by Soros to cause chaos. So, i think it’s a good thing teachers don’t try and sugar coat this bull shit. Start teaching history the way it really was . Now is the chance to turn our kids around. Don’t rely on these asshole teachers to teach the truth about anything anymore.

Yeah, he’s profiting from the diversity industry.
Just the kind of role model you want kids around!
What, you never heard of the “3 R’s”? Reading, wRiting, and Race-baiting?
Children must be taught to be civilized, but today’s school system teaches them that western civilization is bad because of its past mistakes. If all anyone knew about you was your mistakes, not how you learned from them and improved, you’d look pretty bad too.
“I ask my kids everyday what they learned and talked about.”
Make damn sure to also ask them what books they are reading in the classroom which are not allowed to be brought home.
......” hes profiting from the diversity industry”......
Well that’s what they do....when you consider those speaking out the loudest today they all personally benefit one way or another.
Was this article written by the Babylon Bee? Teachers are worried that parents will interfer with teaching of leftist views? GOOD!!
Since lifestyle differences are more common and touches many families,It is not a fear about whether things are taught it is about controlling HOW it is taught.
In the eyes of the NEA, children are guilty of racism etc. until proven by NEA re-education camps to be innocent.
The original purpose of lower education, was to teach kids how to think. Not teach them what to think. That stopped in the early 60’s and has expanded to teaching kids what to think about all of life based upon whoever is in charge of the curriculum at the highest level determined.
So instead of teaching kids how to add, read, or figure out basic problems they would encounter, they are forced to make permanent decisions on life problems long before they have the facts, the tools to do it, or even the need as it pertains to them.
I was raised in a fairly large city in central California. We had three black families in the whole community. Played sports with and against kids from all three and my wife, who went to the rival high school, was good friends and had classes with all from those families, girls and boys alike. So we both had a great relationship. Even attended each other’s churches and broke bread with them.
Can anyone tell me why a 5 to 12 year old child needs to understand how to work with kids of the black race when we didn’t have anyone and couldn’t understand the differences anyway? They don’t have the tools, so why put the tools in children’s hands and allow a 10 year old to try to tackle a problem it’s obvious adults, on both sides of the issue, can’t? Imagine a 6 year old on a farm tractor disking in the fields. Think the rows will be straight? But he’s only 6...right? Some are just figuring out that theres an opposite sex out there and are either going to punch them in the arm or run from them.
Next year they can make them diversity counselors when they reach the 3rd grade and have finally learned how to write enough to get by with their recognized prior instructions in race relations. Couldn’t be much worse than it is right now as they have no history of problems other than what they are taught. Oops!
If the education system is so forward about challenging children, let them try to cure C-19. They couldn’t do any worse than the adults have done. And at least their efforts will be identified as honest and made into a joke instead of a crucifixion or a series of lies. Children don’t need the past to cover their a$$es.

Grooming children is evil. He should be fired and barred from forever “teaching” children.
I am beyond grateful that I went to a one room school in farming country.
I went to a multi-room building but had 1-12 all in it..........
