CHICAGO — Widespread damage is reported in downtown Chicago after looting and rioting began around midnight.
Witnesses report hundreds of people smashing their way into stores throughout Michigan Avenue, areas in the South Loop and the near North Side.
WGN’s Judy Wang was on the scene early and reported seeing people filling trash bags with merchandise. She also saw crowd trashing the streets outside the stores and turning over garbage cans.
2nd Ward Alderman Brian Hopkins told WGN he witnessed people driving up in vehicles, smashing windows of stores on Michigan Avenue and grab items and drive away.

It s noteworthy that the greatest of the riots being mounted are in those cities and localities that have been under liberal Democrat regimes and hegemony for years if not decades.

Let them alone and it just gets worse. BTW I support peaceful protests and free speech but when it gets to rioting terrorism and sedition I believe in taking care of it with extreme prejudice.

CHICAGO (CBS)– In what appears to be a widespread, coordinated attack, dozens of stores, banks and other businesses were broken into across downtown Chicago overnight. The looting spread from the Loop, up to the Near North Side.
The unrest started around 11 p.m. Sunday and cause is still unknown at this time, but it does appear to be a coordinated effort. Video shows multiple cars parked on the streets as people ran out and broke into stores. CBS 2’s Ryan Baker reports that former Bears player Patrick Mannelly witnessed the looting from his high-rise condo and saw cars driving up to a U-Haul truck and putting stolen goods into the trailer.
