A man from Texas died from COVID-19 on July 22 and the obituary his wife wrote for him has now gone viral. In the obituary for David W. Nagy, published in the small local newspaper the Jefferson Jimplecute, his wife, Stacey Nagy blames his death on President Trump and Texas Governor Greg Abbott.
Davids death was needless, his wife, Stacey Nagy, wrote. The blame for his death and the deaths of all the other innocent people, falls on Trump, Abbott and all the other politicians who did not take this pandemic seriously and were more concerned with their popularity and votes than lives.
She also said others are to blame: the many ignorant, self centered and selfish people who refused to follow the advice of the medical professionals, believing their right not to wear a mask was more important than killing innocent people.
Dave did everything he was supposed to do, but you did not. Shame on all of you, and may Karma find you all! she wrote.
Nagyn said her husband died at age 79 in the ICU at Christus Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview, Texas, and that he suffered greatly from the ravages of the COVID-19 virus and the separation from his much loved family who were not allowed at his bedside.
He is survived by his wife and five children, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends, according to the obit.
Stacey Nagy confirmed via Facebook that she wrote the obituary and submitted it to the Jefferson Jimplecute, CBS affiliate KYTX reports. Her words reached people far from Jefferson, Texas, after a photo of the newspaper clipping was shared online.
In an interview with fact-checking website Snopes, Nagy said she was glad the obituary was seen widely because she wanted to get her message out.
It gets me so angry that people are arent taking this seriously, she told Snopes. The people who are dying are the older people especially a lot of younger people are dying too but its almost like theyre saying, Who cares about the older people? Ive been with my husband for 20 years and all of a sudden hes gone. People should know how this makes others feel.
She said in the interview that shes seen many people in her town failing to wear face masks and she expressed anger that the pandemic has been politicized.
Due to visitor restrictions implemented in hospitals, Nagy couldnt be with husband in person before he died and the last time she saw him was through a see-through barrier. He was unconscious, she told Snopes.
I miss my husband dearly, she said in the interview. Im taking one day at a time to just try to keep going. When I wrote that thing it was because of him. I dont want his death just to disappear. I wrote that and partially, it keeps him alive for me.
CBS News has reached out to Stacey Nagy and will update with any response.
The post Obituary blames Trump and governor for mans COVID-19 death appeared first on CBS News.
“her husband had fallen in March and after time in the hospital had been recovering in a nursing home. Nagy said her husband had several preexisting conditions, including diabetes, heart problems and early signs of dementia, that put him in the category of people most at risk of becoming seriously ill from the disease. So even though he wanted to go home, he stayed in the nursing home due to his vulnerability to the virus sweeping the country.”
1) Sounds like they chose poorly. If Mr. Nagy was otherwise able to leave the nursing home, he’d have been much better off self-isolating at home than staying in a COVID incubator.
2) The widow blames Trump and Abbot for not forcing everyone to follow hyper-stringent protocols for masks, etc. Yet she bitches about the nursing home’s efforts to protect vulnerable patients with visitation restrictions, etc. Diagnosis: self-centered idiot who should have stayed in California.
He lived way past his life expectancy for an American male. He would had been on his way out in a year or two, COVID-19 just sped up his demise a little bit earlier.
So did Trump & Abbott prematurely age him, force feed him too many cards, push him down a flight of stairs and later Cuomo the nursing and rehad center?
Over 1/2 of all Covid deaths were residents of nursing facilites. According to the Radar article, he unfortunately fit the mold with age, diabetes, heart disease and the dementia all working agaimst him.
Consider the author.
Given his wife, I’d welcome death.
Baker should not be on that list. He had contingencies precisely so that Covid positive nursing residents would be cared for in specialized facilities and not infect co-residents.
Rapists and murderers are being let out of prison while everyone else in this country are being sentenced to solitary confinement and house arrest.
Excellent
Well, Karl Denninger has been positing since this mess began that the real transmission conduit is feces, not airborne droplets, and that hospital and (especially) nursing home staff aren’t following proper disinfection and handwashing protocols like they should. And since many lower-level hospital employees work second jobs at nursing homes, they have been an unwitting disease vector.
Generally speaking the exception being murder and certain sexual acts.
These people need to hang.......the whole damn Demonrat party as far as I’m concerned. This is a war between good and evil like never before!!
“Politicizing your own husbands death is pretty pathetic.”
Agreed! 80 is pretty much a full life, I hope I make it that far.
God bless you.
Keeping you in my prayers.

And andy cuomo goes free 5500 dead, amazing
Still, somehow, her husband became ill with COVID-19. Despite Remdesivir, plasma and ventilator treatments, David Nagy died.
So this guy was locked down in a nursing home when he contracted the Rona. Explain to me how people outside of the nursing home who are not wearing a mask caused his infection?
How about the fact that 9 out of 10 who are put on the vent end up succumbing?
I think the “Karma” people are from California.
What if a “person of color” had murdered her husband? What would she say in the obituary?
