I suffer from moderate clinical depression and Michelle is full of bull hockey. Real depression is not circumstance driven. People of course get depressed by bad things that happen, which is NOT the definition of clinical depression. To be clinically depressed means one is depressed for no apparent good reason. Which why well meaning relatives say things like “What are you depressed about? Everything in your life is great!”
