On Sunday night, a group of aggressive protesters reportedly targeted the home of Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best. Best sent a letter to the city council, urging them to stand up for what is right and end the new way of doing business by mob rule. She condemned them for their silence and not speaking against the lawless rioters.
I wanted to update you on recent events, particularly those that occurred late last night. A residence of mine in Snohomish County was targeted by a large group of aggressive protestors late last night, Best wrote in a letter to City Council President Lorena González and Public Safety Chair Lisa Herbold.
The police chief reported that her heroic neighbors succeded in preventing violence. My neighbors were concerned by such a large group, but they were successful in ensuring the crowd was not able to trespass or engage in other illegal behavior in the area, despite repeated attempts to do so, she wrote.
I urge both of you, and the entire council, to stand up for what is right, Best added. These direct actions against elected officials, and especially civil servants like myself, are out of line with and go against every democratic principle that guides our nation. Before this devolves into the new way of doing business by mob rule here in Seattle, and across the nation, elected officials like you must forcefully call for the end of these tactics.

The citizens of Snohomish (rural, 20(?) miles nw of Seattle) protected the main street while armed a few weeks ago. The local sheriff praised their efforts.
He has since been demoted.
I’m surprised the folks of Snohomish aren’t protesting in front of the town council.
Chief Best needs to read up on the meaning of “by any means necessary.”
Ope - NE of Seattle.
“The police chief reported that her heroic neighbors succeded in preventing violence.”
If the Democrat politicians refuse to enforce the rule of law, the police shouldn’t be constrained by their authority.
Goose, gander.
Sounds like a decent, courageous woman. No wonder the Maoists wanted to destroy her house.
Even in Seattle of year 2020, chivalry is not dead.
That was a nice show of support.
Carmen for mayor.
She looks so stressed lately.
I suggested a nice hot bath, scented candles, soft music and a full body massage.
I havent heard back...yet.
Will keep you posted.
Revolutionaries always turn on themselves. Once their enemies are gone, then they begin the purity purge.
Happens every time.

How many residences does she have?
No one can demote the sheriff, he’s elected. He can be recalled, but that is a very long process; and, that is not going to happen in Snohomish County.
How is he "demoted"? Sheriffs are elected by the voters of the county, and can usually only be fired under extreme circumstances, like Sheriff Israel being fired by FL Gov Desantis. Recall is the normal procedure to remove a Sheriff.
I confabulated two different things. (I also got NW confused with NE!!)
It was the Snohomish Police chief that got reassigned due to comments regarding the armed citizens as “festive”.
The County Sheriff has a petition mounting against him to recall him for saying that he would not enforce Inslee’s mask rules.
Ope - see my post 14.
Snohomish town council needs a blanket party...
There is a town called Snohomish but there is also a county named Snohomish. I believe she lives in the county. The county is directly north of Seattle King County. Best could live in Lynnwood or some direct suburb just north of Seattle city limits. Not rural.
Those two council members the chief wrote letters to are probably the ones who gave the terrorists her home address to begin with.
“. A residence of mine in Snohomish County was targeted by a large group of aggressive protestors late last night,”
Finally - the police chief speaks some truth.
