To date, there has never been a successful coronavirus vaccine made, due to the nature of the virus. Additionally, past attempts to create a coronavirus vaccine have ONLY RESULTED IN LEAVING THE VACCINATED PERSON WITH A HIGHER CHANCE OF SERIOUS ILLNESS AND DEATH WHEN LATER EXPOSED TO ANOTHER STRAIN OF THE VIRUS, AND ANOTHER MUTATED VIRUS WILL SHOW UP AS SURE AS NIGHT FOLLOWS DAY.

As such viruses enter the human body and encounter BHT most of them will be disabled without causing any further damage, however enough of such a damaged virus will remain to be detected by immune system of the human body which in turn may energize the human bodies own immune system to fight off any left over viruses in a process quite similar how some vaccines are produced artificially, utilizing deactivated viruses to stimulate the human bodies own immune system.
So we may conclude that BHT not only will kill such a virus, but as an added side benefit and in a roundabout way may also encourage the human body to set up its own defensive mechanism.
