I think one of the issues is that their use by the Federal government outside of Federal property could be problematic. It is one thing for the Feds to combat crowds that have become violent on Federal Property but another thing to use this technology on crowds outside, some of whom arguably might not legally be acting violently against Federal assets or personnel.

New standards are being established. While we are cheering when the feds arrive in Portland, we need to remember that it is a slippery slope.

Is it necessary? Maybe. But the next time it will be you and me and for lesser reasons.

Bottom line: we need to set aside our partisan hatred and think. Who is the greater threat- a bunch of anarchists or the government will all of its power.

I found out long ago that keeping my circle of friends small greatly reduced the possibility of stress in my life.
I only keep two intimate friends and perhaps for or five social friends.
Since, at heart, I’m a loner anyway it seems to work for me.

The Duke antenna works great. But if you're at one of these protests/riots, chances are there's way more people than the local cell towers have capacity for, so your reception's gonna be crappy whether there's a jammer or not.

For me it’s more about stress.
I’ve lessened the stress in my life and the IBS is all but gone.

Yup, same for every major event in a non-major event area. Stadiums and recetracks and the like have extra capacity built in for this reason. Some hotels/conference centers do, but many don't, which is why people at conferences can be very hard to get a hold of. (Common wisdom is wrong, not everyone at a conference is cheating :p ) And if you go outside of that, there's definitely nothing built and ready to go for large masses of phones needing service.
