Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) said Wednesday he will take an anti-malaria drug that experts have warned doesnt treat the coronavirus after he tested positive for the virus.
"My doctor and I are all in," Gohmert said about hydroxychloroquine during a Wednesday evening interview with Fox News, according to Newsweek.
"I got a text before I came on from a friend doctor who just found out he had it, and he started the regimen too zinc and hydroxychloroquine. And that will start in a day or two, so thank you," the congressman added.
Congressional aides confirmed Wednesday that Gohmert, who has largely opted against wearing a mask around the Capitol, tested positive for COVID-19.

The Hill is really really angry about this, indignant, catty even. They cannot have this narrative happening.
HCQ multiplies to the level that as the duplicated viruses bursts out of the host lung cells, it sets off a hyper release of inflammatory cytokines. If the chain reaction of duplication, burst of cells and cytokine release is stopped through the application of HCQ with zinc and the anti-inflammatory, antibiotic Azithromycin, that prevents the deadly cytokine storm. The most successful treatment is done early before the explosive cytokine storm is allowed to occur.
Well folks, I wouldn’t be surprised if numerous condemning politicians were actually taking this drug themselves. Of course there will be no urine test to prove it.
It's like listening to parrots.
Becky wanna cracker?
How long do you think it will take for Gohmert to be free of the infection? Two weeks? One month? I read one study that cure was in 12 days for 80 patients that took the Hydroxychloroquine plus Azithromycin.
Rep Gohmert said he’s taking zinc also.
And z-pack.
Urine test; that’s why the left went nuts over Dr Immanuel.
She challenged them to take a urine test to show whether they had been taking it...
but denying it to everyone else.
I go for two weeks. That’s typical.
I guess Louis will wear a mask for that period to be ‘responsible’.
But an interesting point!
What will media report? What do they make the most money from reporting?
Interesting. They deflected by saying that she believed in nothing but voodoo.
A lot of the media money comes from people running advertisements in which they pay to put ads in the magazines and newspapers, I think some advertising income is still true with online as well.
How many times do we have to read of this "anecdotal" evidence world-wide to see these cures actually work? I'm really starting to believe that big pharma is the problem.
*** is morbidly your pal obese Nadler. ***
I am not in Nadler Country. I am in Texas.
Louis Gohmert, may be asymptomatic, and still shedding the virus to infect others. He, by his status as a US Representative, has access to a rapid results test, hcq, zinc, Z-Pac, and a gold star health insurance plan.
Most Texans don’t have those kind of perquisites.
” Most Texans dont “
Well, I admit I’m not there, but testing is finding many early cases now.
Just as Louis’s was found.
Ive been following the a HCQ thing since Raoult first spoke up, reading machine-translated French articles. Its mind boggling we still have actions like this being taken. On what basis are they doing this!?
If I lived in such a state, Id be traveling to a malaria-prone location for purposes of getting a cycle of HCQ.

I find this fascinating. From my reading, Nigerians are often devout Christians. Isn’t the *voodoo* remark racist? And isn’t voodoo predominate in Haiti? The Clintons have close ties with both that island and that cult practice.
I recall Bill Clinton waxing poetic about how he and his wife found satisfaction in their practice of that belief.
Maybe someone who keeps files on Bill & Hill can link to that interview.
Nobody said a thing when Hillary said that Eleanor Roosevelt visited her.
People should be able to put anything they want in their bodies. I’ll laugh if some jackbooted anti-drug warrior can’t get HQ because they though that the government -any government- should have jack to say about what an individual consumes.
Well some of the quotes are... interesting...
“Immanuel, a pediatrician and a religious minister, has a history of making bizarre claims about medical topics and other issues. She has often claimed that gynecological problems like cysts and endometriosis are in fact caused by people having sex in their dreams with demons and witches.
She alleges alien DNA is currently used in medical treatments, and that scientists are cooking up a vaccine to prevent people from being religious. And, despite appearing in Washington, D.C. to lobby Congress on Monday, she has said that the government is run in part not by humans but by reptilians and other aliens.”
