It's a little late for this sort of viewing with alarm at this point. It's nearly August in an election year and the Dems are locked into a candidate they can't even allow out into the daylight and a "populism" strategy involving Molotov cocktails. They're stuck with both.

There is, as well, a disconnect with what the media are saying - "mostly peaceful, nothing to see here" - and what they're showing because it's sensational. Blatant, strident, incessant racism against a core demographic - white middle and working class voters - isn't helping, and it isn't going away either, in fact, it isn't even being opposed. Worse, the pain is being felt by other key urban demographics. You don't have to win a majority in those to re-elect Trump, you only need to pare down the votes the Dems take for granted. Lanny Davis is inadvertently pointing out the real danger - if it isn't close, they can't cheat.
