Barr expected to blast Democrats over efforts to 'discredit' him, independence of DOJ in upcoming hearing
The Hill ^ | 07 27 2020 | Olivia Beavers

Attorney General William Barr is expected to come out swinging when he testifies on Capitol Hill Tuesday, accusing Democrats of falsely seeking to paint him as a Trump loyalist and challenging them to denounce violence in Portland, Ore.

In particular, Barr will seek to defend himself against what he calls attempts by Democrats to "discredit" him because he chose to investigate the origins of the FBI's probe into Russian interference in the 2016 election, according to a copy of his opening statement obtained by The Hill.

"Ever since I made it clear that I was going to do everything I could to get to the bottom of the grave abuses involved in the bogus 'Russiagate” scandal,' many of the Democrats on this Committee have attempted to discredit me by conjuring up a narrative that I am simply the President’s factotum who disposes of criminal cases according to his instructions," Barr writes.

"Judging from the letter inviting me to this hearing, that appears to be your agenda today," he adds.

Barr's forceful approach is likely an early preview of what the hearing Tuesday morning will be: a contentious cage match between Democrats and the president's top cop.

That’s great...too many cannot or are unwilling to do so.

When someone lies under oath, like Comey, they forgo the opportunity to charge him.

Hillary - Hillary’s Chief if staff, her IT guy... same old story.

But Papadopolous, Flynn, Manafort, Stone - these people are crushed. Every aspect of their lives and those related to them in considered in crushing them.

So, when they look the other way with Sally Yates, who lied to Congress, and Comey, who lied under oath. And poor Samantha Power, we don’t need to charge her.... well, it’s clear as a bell.

Durham hired all DEM Prosecutors - and all the evidence is weighed by a DEM standard.

That was a fun song. (B4-U Go-Go). The video was well produced too, back when MTV was a very big deal. George Michael was a true talent. Not everyone can handle a sustained level of intense fame as he experienced. It’s not a normal existence, or so I hear.

He’ll do this, but no indictments. Okay, gotcha!

Barr and Durham are useless.

I’m not implying “long waits” end with indictments. Rather the need to wait is significant in any investigation.....just look at the time it takes for the average investigations on the street. Some can take years.

We’re dealing in an environment in DC that conceals, hides, lies, covers up and purposely attempts to leave no trail behind their criminal steps. They live and work in concealing what they do.

BTW They’re not finshed with Lois Learner just so you know.

Look up Imran Awan.

The FBi and TSA found him leaving the county with over $10 Grand, a figure he is required to report. He didn’t.

They looked the other way and let him go.

That right there said they had no interest in pursuing him, and they ultimately refused to charge him for many other crimes.

They didn’t want to pull on that string.

The point is the indicia are there.

Lois Lerner case is closed.

Jeffrey Sessions sleepily announced it.

I have to say, I was really surprised that Rush was so optimistic that Barr and Durham would be handing down indictments. Today’s program Rush seemed frustrated that we still aren’t seeing any indictments. Maybe he’s coming to realize we’ve been fooled.

Trump has made some hideous cabinet appointments. Who advises him?

Your most honorable Leeness— I do not agree here. Those that seek what they wanted should be prepared to reap their concomitant results. George was not prepared, he was a homosexual from day one.

Sometimes it’s best to let certain individuals go because they will lead to bigger fish.

Freepers are impatient creatures.....they want it now!

I want it before the election.

If something doesn't happen in the next 3 months and Trump loses, what do you believe happens after Trump is out of office?

It's getting very close to now or never.

Wake me up when the likes of Comey, Clinton, Rosenstein, etc. are brought to justice.

Otherwise, it’s all just more shadow puppets to gin up donations.

Judicial Watch is investigating Brookings Institute so stay tuned.

Re: INDICTMENTS this Tweet was made by Adam Housley on 7/24/20:

“Durham and Barr do not want this investigation to be used for political points, which is the way it should be. There are major rumors that there are already indictments. There are some indictments in the pipeline also for sure. The scope of this investigation is huge. Massive.”

Agree. DOJ policy is no indictments after Sept. 1st in an election year. So it’s got to be next month. Barr has gone 440 days without an indictment of a coupist. I think it is safe to say nothing is coming in the next 30 days other than more speechifying form Barr and a CYA “report” from Durham.

I’m starting to think that FreeRepublic is riddled with Chinese disinformation agents. Barr sucks ass. He hasn’t done jack of any import. I think he scheduled some executions and attended some fancy dinners. Not impressed.

Yep. No doubt the Democrat prosecutors Durham hired are working like busy beavers to put Obama admin officials in jail.

You just proved my point in saying...”I want” it before the election. Trumps election doesn’t hinge on indictments.

Correct. His first term did. And now it’s gone. 4 years lost to coupist assault that can never be recovered.
