Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said that he hopes in the next two to three weeks the Senate will be able to get the next coronavirus relief bill to the House.

"Hopefully in the next two to three weeks we'll be able to come together and pass something that we can send over to the House and down to the President for signature," McConnell told CNN affiliate WKTY in an interview posted Friday evening.

McConnell said he will begin talking to Democrats as soon as next week on the bill.

I thought money bills had to originate in the House.

Never mind, who pays attention to the Constitution anymore.

The bill WILL originate in the House.

The Senate will take a House bill that’s already been passed — probably having nothing to do with any kind of COVID-19 relief — and amend it as they see fit. Once it passes the Senate it usually goes to a conference committee where the competing versions of the bill are amended into one bill. That’s unlikely to happen, though. Pelosi will tell her trolls in the House to simply vote for whatever the Senate passes.

i bet McConnell will think it is politically necessary to print another couple trillion fake dollars to extend the virus welfare program (at least until after the election)
but
what we really need is for all the politicians (ESPECIALLY the D governors and big city machine bosses, mayors) to GTH out of the way and let American citizens return to their work!

Our positivity rate remains 9 to 12 percent, which means it is the incorrect diagnisis 88 to 91 percent of the time. Your trusted physician wrong 88 to 91 percent of the time.. and so are the people who insist they have covid and do not.
Given the false positivity rate of molecular tests and the single targert positive fda mandate in early april.. they are very, very wrong.

You think only people diagnosed with Covid get tested?

Why would you replace someone who gets the job done? He's got us through 100's of budgets, has gotten hundreds of judges confirmed, got us through the impeachment farce.

Your logic is lacking.

Nobody pays attention to the Constitution any more.

Nobody cares about spending money we don’t have, just print up another few Trillion. Long live the Wehrmacht Republic. Inflate our way out of debt.

Our neighbor has been on permanent vacation since March and his wife is a school teacher. The road goes on forever and the party never ends for them. The party lights are on at their pool twice a week and they bought a huge ski boat. He “works from home”. All of his clients are on lock down, medical facilities. Somehow someone has to go to work.

The local GP clinic is withering on the vine. Only people that are really sick or hurt are going to the doctor. I wonder if that trend will stick. I cut my finger badly and needed stitches, called and got right in to see the doc and they acted like I was a long lost friend. That is how slow it has gotten. Most docs are taking it as a vacation opportunity, some are concerned about layoffs. Yup, layoffs of doctors and nurses and clinic staff. I’m not shedding any tears but we need a viable medical system.

Never mind the relief bill(s)!

Get the damn federal judge nomination process back into operation...

It is beginning to appear that Mitch & Lindsey are saving the rest for the communists in case they win the election... It's known as either CYA or currying favor...

Where is the POTUS on this issue? Too damn quiet for my taste...

If there is just one single vacancy left when election day rolls around, this presidency will be a total bust and "failure" will be its legacy...
