Rep. Swalwell on new information showing FBI spied on Trump: 'They were right to do it'
Fox News ^ | July 24, 2020 | Victor Garcia

Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., reacted to the revelation that an FBI agent involved in the "Crossfire Hurricane" Russia investigation "actively listened" for certain topics during a briefing on election interference given to the Trump campaign in August 2016, saying "they were right to do it."

"I hope they do it if a Democratic candidate ever does that with any country," Swalwell said Friday on "The Story with Martha MacCallum." "So, Martha, remember right before this meeting occurred, candidate Trump said, 'Russia, if you're listening, I hope you have Hillary's emails.' And what do they do? They actually did it. So think about it."

Fox News obtained a document that reflects type-written notes by FBI agent Joe Pientka after an August 17, 2016 briefing to then-candidate Donald Trump, Michael Flynn and former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie "in support of ODNI briefings provided to U.S. Presidential candidates and two of their advisors."

The briefing, which was held at the FBI's New York Field Office, also included a "13-minute defensive briefing" delivered by Pientka. The document states that FBI officials Kevin Clinesmith and Peter Strzok "approved" Pientka's notes.

Swalwell slammed Trump and accused the president of lying about being briefed.

"By the way, he says in the meeting, 'Joe, are the Russians bad?' It's like, yes, the Russians are bad and don't eat glue," Swalwell said. "Like, should we even have to tell you that? ... He told the country for years, but he was never given this briefing."

MacCallum pressed Swalwell who, stuck to beliefs that Trump conspired with Russia.

"So President Trump was under investigation. Jim Comey said he was not. He said that to Congress under oath," MacCallum said to Swalwell. "So the president was indeed under investigation."

I might have missed something, but what does that reference to Russians eating glue mean?

Is that something Pientka made up, or something Swallowell made up?

why should one state have such misfortune as to have so many mental midgets/loud mouths — like Swalwell, Lieu, Pelosi, Harris, etc? why MacCallum gives ES air time i’ll never know. she knows he is an idiot and an oily sleaze.

Oh, we could say that Eric Swalwell is naive, or his elevator does not run to the top floor, or that he is afflicted with a strange combination of willful blindness and obstinately willful ignorance. But that does not explain the specific kind of venom he spews, with virtually no stimulation, against ALL things remotely connected with the Republican party in general, or conservatives in particular.

It is as if he were some kind of xenophobe and bigot, rationalizing a total lack of respect for different points of view, that he deems not worthy of debate, but must be abolished forevermore.

“My way or the highway.” Except that there is no highway outside his isolated bubble universe, only a wilderness.

“”I hope they do it if a Democratic candidate ever does that with any country,” Swalwell said”

Ever does it? The ChiComs alone have been doing it since Clinton. The Soviets were asked to do it by Teddy Kennedy. Someone was funneling foreign money to Algore via poor monks. More recently there is Burisma and the Obama administration including Biden and his son.

Democrats talk about what they’ll do if ever presented with evidence they will believe ... but they are usually very quiet when it comes to admitting they don’t accept evidence that can be given when it’s them...

... but for others the seriousness of the charges alone is sufficient!

The November election isn't going to settle anything.

These pieces of excrement can't be allowed anywhere near power.

What an incredibly stupid thing to say. That is not what he said, first of all, and second of all, the remarks he did make were made AFTER the fact to draw attention to the fact she had been using an unsecure server in her official capacity as SOS.

Light a fuse on Smallwell and then throw him into an Antifa crowd. Once he breaks wind, they’re done for.

And Hillary hadn’t been SOS for several years when Trump said that, so obviously his comments made at that time could not have had anything to do with whether or not they had them. Swalwell is stupid or lying about the timeline, not to mention his comment just highlights how dangerous and reckless Hillary’s behavior was.

So Eric is OK with the attempted overthrow of the elected leadership of the United States of America? Can he quote what law that provides for the sedition that he says is appropriate? It is sad that this a$$hole is in a position of leadership in this country. He would be over his head as a dog catcher!

After seeing Swalwell at one of his first local townhalls after being elected, I feel confident in saying that he's an example of someone who thinks he's smarter than he is solely because of the position he holds.

Anyone who thinks this is OK is not really an advocate of the America the founders envisioned, nor of the Constitution.

The left has been an enemy of both for at least 60, more probably, 100, years.

The only positive thing you can say about early Progressives like Teddy Roosevelt, Hoover, and Wilson, is they mostly had American interests at heart, (debatable with Wilson).

One has only to look at the Tucker Carlson show Swallowwell was on back in 2017-18 when he accused Tucker of being a RUSSIAN AGENT-— (and Tucker went to break early and kicked him off the show- True-— “what the’...” look on Tucker’s face) === to realize:

Swallowwell is a real Socialist (without the Nationalism) of a Nazi Gestapo agent-— brainless, hard jawed, and STUPID as a box of Rocks.

They were right to do it? Then you’d be OK with someone doing that to you.. you MORON! Remember his distric in WEHO split off from Adam Shifte.... so it’s all fags... flamers and paedos. Swallowell has a lot to be found out and released about ..... HIM. Let’s go. Because he say’s it’s the right thing to do!

The thing with Swalwell - I don’t think he’s corrupt or dishonest - I think in his case he is just really, really stupid - entirely. Many are smart but liars, others are both, but he is just truly a really stupid and ignorant guy entirely.

That's it in a nutshell. Some of them are smart but totally dishonest, some are both - but he is just truly a stupid dude who swallows the whole party line without any question.
