AMC says that the theater company may not survive the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Hollywood has continued to delay releasing movies, as cases rise in parts of the U.S.

I’d much prefer the petition that tells Congress not to give a corporate bailout to liberal Hollywood.

The movie theater might just go the way of the old Drive In Theaters. (Loved those) A lot of streaming options now. The business model is changing.

AGREED.

Hollywood Stars are worth BILLIONS. They should step up and help. I could care less if a Movie Complex ever opens again.

NON ESSENTIAL.

As opposed to needing Federal assistance to fund their crappy products...

Correct. A truly great movie, The Irishman, basically went straight to Netflix last year. And that was before the Corona Virus.

And like most people, I prefer to wait till a movie is on the net rather than go to a theater.

ONLY to truly local owned theaters, Not a dime to the Chinese owned theater chains.

Even a “trusted local theater” is pimping a left wing Hollywood product. Not a dime.

Without help from Congress, movie theaters across the country could permanently close

FU!! Hollywood should be the responsible party to get their Personal Distribution Facilities back open. IT IS THEIRS!!!

Fine. Close. Not essential, no bailout.

When one can get a 65” 4K TV for <$400, and cinema tickets are $20-50/pair, movie theaters become buggy whips.

Movie theatres will be casualty of the Wuhan Flu, no way they can survive financially - there’s a chance drive in theatres will make a comeback, tho.

If covid19 is going to a permanent, ongoing situation (i.e. no vaccine) entire complexes (entertainment, office, commercial) will have to be rebuilt to handle *less* work in more space just to stay in business at less profit. In such a case, horizontal building - people spread apart - would seem to be the future, rather than stacking dozens of floors of humanity over one another.

We don’t need theaters any longer. Even the rioters copping a loaf of bread found a 48 inch TV in the bread box.

Popcorn sales alone should be able to bail them out.

Drive in Theaters are making a come back. When I was a teen we used to go to them almost every weekend. Problem now is, they aren't making any movies that I would even go see. Pathetic really.
