In June, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D-MI) was reportedly out of the running to be Joe Biden’s running mate, but Biden told a Michigan TV station Tuesday that she’s back under consideration.
“Are you still considering Gov. Gretchen Whitmer as a potential vice presidential candidate?” WOOD TV reporter Rick Albin asked.
“Yes,” Biden replied.

If she’s seriously under consideration, it’s because Biden is rather desperate. The Dem base loves Whitmer because she has a strong partisan backbone. She has made significant mistakes; and her tough talk (with no enforcement) merely annoys everyone else. She will not deliver Michigan for Biden and it won’t matter whether she is on the ticket or not. Michigan will be very close again, but this time it is President Trump’s to lose.
He must think she can deliver Michigan.
