I’m not sure that attacking Biden for this sort of “racism” is the right strategy. Yes, Biden’s old statements are now politically incorrect. But to the average moderate/swing/independent voter this kind of stuff makes Biden sounds like he has a common sense and isn’t kowtowing to liberals. That helps him, not hurts him.
And wasn’t he speaking for the passage of the crime bill he prime sponsored and led to the huge incarcerations of Blacks?

I believe that I may have watched this speech live on C-SPAN back in 1993. Unless I am mistaken, Senator Biden was talking about criminals and never specifically mentioned blacks or any other demographic. The title here is false and the premise that this video somehow proves he is a racist is deceptive. There are enough incriminating speeches out there by him that we don’t need to falsify them like this.

The fetchin’ Smithsonian says these things Biden wants is “white culture”.
The leftists say intact families, good work ethic, responsibility for your actions are all “white culture” and need to be destroyed.
We are in a war.
What’s your point? Who’s the audience for attacking Biden from the left? What’s the upshot of saying that Biden was too tough on crime, too unsympathetic to black criminals? Sure, I guess that strategy might depress Biden’s black support. But it might also help him with swing white voters who will look and this and be reassured that Biden is tough on crime and isn’t a total slave to political correctness.

Oh stop. This absolutely needs to be made very public, voters have every right to hear it. Conservatives can and have made similar speeches and comments. Every time, they have been labeled racists because “everybody knows what they were REALLLLLLLY saying.” cough, cough.
In fact Trump has NEVER been as provocative in anything he has said, yet he is labeled a racist.
